They are breaking us up every time an the ref lets it go. Horrible game not helped by us having no proper midfield shape.
 
I just don't understand how Appleton thought this formation would provide us with any different result.

No creativity and just leads to pressure being created on our goal.

If we concede there's no way back into games.
 
got lucky at Huddersfield but this time technology worked . I Was less than impressed when Appleton was appointed but prepared to give him a chance seeing as he's here . Injuries certainly hav'nt helped . Things will have to improve after World cup but I fear until the break which will give injured players a chance to get fit , we will continue struggle & Appleton will be under pressure by Xmas
 
Don't get that - did the ref give it without a buzz? So another tech failure? He would have pointed to his watch if that was the reason.

We all agree that hudds should have been given but two wrongs etc.

Be interesting to know what the ref gave it for as the replays look like it stayed out.
 
The set up is too ** defensive and we need 3 in midfield. We also need some decent players up front, apart from Jerry. I didn't even know Lavery was playing! Be brave Appleton and get a midfield 3 of Patino, Wright and Carey, get Gabriel on as right back, Hubby to lrft back and Poveda on for Lavery.

No goal line tech at Millwall.
 
Passing it ok up until a bit beyond halfway, but nothing in the final 3rd, all breaks down.

Can still turn this around but some signs are not great.
 
Their players and coaches must be thinking it doesn't matter if they lose possession, because we'll just give it straight back to them via either a sloppy pass or poor control.
This is shite.
 
Millwall are shit, but we are just as bad and they're more than happy to put 8 men behind the ball and let us try and do something which we can't, so ** disappointing.

How on earth could Appleton see how little we created in the last two games and then think that it would be different again?
 
I Feel a bit sorry for the players to be honest. I genuinely think theyve given it their all every game (i include Rotherham in that) but they are just simply not good enough.

Ive not seen anyone strolling around or not caring.

It might be partly also a formation issue. It was mentioned on here last game that Rotherham looked like they had 4 extra men than us. Every time one of our front three got it they were isolated and up against multiple defenders.

So based on the fact this has happened more frequently lately you’d have to say the manager might not be championship quality either.

It’s going to be a long season though based on what weve witnessed so far.

Gonna keep shit talking them..... how could Appleton think this formation would work??? Shocking, pitiful, disgraceful.
