7.30am, went outside to go to work.
Not there.
Worked hard, long hours, hard labour all my life for some scum to just steal it.
Found out a few been stolen this week in Poulton and St Annes.
Please share, or let me know if you see it.
Pictures too big unfortunately, but I'll try to add them soon.

That’s awful mate, I will keep my eyes peeled for it. I had a car stolen from my driveway a few years back and then saw it the next day with 4 scrotes in it at the queue to cross Carlton Crossings! Got my car back and got two of the occupants😉 Good luck getting your property back!

My mate had a similar tipper stolen down here (Wiltshire), luckily he had a tracker on all his fleet vehicles & was able to locate & get the police involved. It was found on a "site" and even though only 3 hours had passed it was found stripped down to the chassis, apparently stolen to order with a team ready to get to work. Hope you get it back mate, bastards everywhere nowadays.

Any unique marks/dents on it?
I’ll keep my eyes peeled whilst working.

🤬

So sorry to hear this mate.
I live in Poulton so will keep my eyes open.
However, it's unlikely to be in PLF now.
Probably got false number plates on now,

In the paper today that 87% of vehicle thefts are never recovered, and 3 in 4, the police don't even turn up. Lib Dems making it an election issue around decimation of community policing and police giving up on certain offences.
Thieving bone idle skum bags.
If it's anything like Cheshire, the most you'll get is a crime number!
Every year our Police & Crime Commissioner asks; "do you agree with an increase in the C/Tax Police precept, so we can put more (ineffective/invisible) cops on the beat?".
We say "no" with reasoning & they increase it anyway. The Gov con the public by reducing council funding & allowing councils to increase the C/T & Police princept year on year.
My mate had all his work tools stolen from his van & the only service he received .... was to be given a crime number.
I hope you get your vn back, in good condition, very soon.

Ellesmere Port Market - that's where tools of dodgy provenance used to turn up 585.

Phook me Lib Dems they are like the wind.

Sorry to hear that. It’s beyond me how anyone can wreck someone’s livelihood. I will keep a lookout for sure. Like Exbeds said it could turn up at Appleby in a few weeks. That would not surprise me. Good luck with the insurance.

Travellers have now moved to Bispham to the Tee Golf place, have a drive past..
It won't be there, even they're not that thick.

Whenever they arrive anywhere the police should turn up mob handed, but don't, fuck knows why.

In another life we had an NHS van nicked off Wesham hospital car park, police didn't even turn up.

Assume it was insured Bri and that gets settled v quickly and you can get a replacement.

There is no appetite to cut down on petty crime/theft by the Police, the authorities etc. Ours for nicked off Drive a short
while ago, police response was zero apart from the crime Ref no. for insurance. I replaced the car, got a steering lock and get one of my kids to park their cars behind ours every night so it’s blocked in on Drive.

You have virtually zero chance of getting it back, no one had nicked it for a joy ride so get your claim in asap, source a replacement and think how you can make the new one harder to steal mate

Good luck

20 years ago had wheel trims nicked of my car ,only left car for ten mins while shopping .Rang police to report and get crime number ,less than two hours later police woman was at my house wanting more details ,how things have changed.

I cannot stand thieves, they are the lowest of the low no matter what they take but to steal someone's work van is despicable and I really hope they do find it for you.

I second this, after my car was stolen when I lived in Bury and all the useless GM Plod did was give me a crime number, I got a steering lock for my replacement car, no problems since

tbf, what are the police supposed to do? Come round and look at the space that used to house your vehicle, send forensics, house to house search?

The reg will be entered on a crimelist thingy and they'd keep an eye out? It's tin and plastic after all, not an old lady mugged.

However, taking someone's livelihood is a low act and I have every sympathy with Bri.

The Police are supposed to investigate crimes and nick criminals. Surely if they investigated just 1%, 5% of car crimes thoroughly they might just send down a serial car thief or two?

I see the anti-police brigade are at it yet again.

I do hope you get your van back, and please rest assured, the cops that are out and about when the report comes through will do everything we can to locate it. Generally hot stolen (at the time) sadly as we’re tied to computer screens these days doing the jobs of case builders otherwise!

People, it’s sad to say but cops can’t contact everyone now, the world has changed and the majority have the role of social workers which is a disgrace.

These days I deal with road fatalities but as and when I get the opportunity, like to get out and stuck in. This just doesn’t happen, and can’t happen to the extent it used to, the paperwork for everything is immense!

Please stop blaming the cops, the majority try bloody hard and are caring, passionate human beings!

I'm not anti-police, just anti their leadership. Lions led by donkeys springs to mind

Not many professions out there that have a full set of strong leaders. Cops are no different through the ranks, some good, some bad!

Sadly the new age bobbies are very different. It’s certainly not the career it used to be! I certainly wouldn’t join again as it is now, all paperwork and push back with often shite results!

Bring on 55!

I've done a lot of police work myself over the last 2 days as I now can't work until I get another van.
On Facebook, I shared to 10 different groups like Bispham Chat, Poulton Chat, St Annes, South Shore and all the crime pages.
I now have 3500 shares, yes 3500 so far.
Some wild accusations flying around, however I have 3 private messages with a name mention. Cast iron lead that we are having to do for ourselves as the police unfortunately are too busy.
I also had an ex police man giving me a lead, but warned me not to go near or I'll get lynched.

Sorry to hear about how the police force has changed, I have a couple of friends and ex customers in the force and like you say, things have changed for the worse.

I have 35 years no claims. Never ever made a claim, also paid for no claims protection. Half hour on the phone to the insurance company has not made my mood any better. I now have to wait 2 weeks for the police to contact them to see if it turns up or not.

I've learned quite a lot of stuff these last 2 days.

Sadly it’s very likely the scum that stole your van would have done it to order and by now it will be in pieces. People just don’t give a shit about others and their property anymore. Sorry you’ve had to experience it and that we haven’t been able to find it for you.

Social media can be a minefield of blame too, although I’m sure someone will get it right on some occasion!

Insurance companies are so painful. They should be paying you out once you have an investigation (crime) number so you can get on with you life. If the original is found in the meantime… It’s theirs to auction. I’m pretty sure they just hope people will forgive and forget! Who can afford to do that these days?

Best of luck with everything though. 👍🏻
