Pay on gate game by game. Why? poor managerial appointments, lack of spending on quality players in both windows, bullied out of games regularly, poor set pieces at both ends, reliant too much on loans, no confidence it will be any different this year, no manager decision yet, messing about with card system which was working, Sadler no rapport with fans, fans treated with disdain, Simon needs to realise Blackpool poorest town in the country, can only see gates of max 5,000, back to the dark old days, keeping my £350 firmly in my pocket until I see real commitment to get out of this xxxx league. Buying a season ticket and looking forward to using it.
Our club is what it is and wouldn't have it any other way.
And we are the only club in Tangerine and White🍊
 
Looking at the retained list it looks like last season all over again minus our few actual good players. I’ll get a season ticket but I’m preying this isn’t going to go the way I think it is.

I presume when you say real commitment you mean you mean from Sadler and not the fans. While you expect him to put his hands in his pockets for the club, you’re not prepared to do that yourself.

Well it’s a base and we are playing in a lower division.
Would buy an ST whatever, unless the Oystons returned🤣🤣
I think we could have a good season with that base👍👍🚌🧡

After the lockdown season I was offered a refund on my corporate ticket. I donated it. I don’t know your financial circumstances but if you can afford and consider your self a support either put up or shut up. We don’t need you slagging the club off.

Each to his own, I've supported the club for many years and this one has been one of the worst by far. With the right decisions it could've been so different. It didn't have to happen. Unless there's a massive rethink (which there won't be) I fear we could have a repeat season of bargain basement buys and struggle. Bet we don't get that influential midfielder weve been crying out for, season after season. I'm not a doom and gloomer but I'm not shelling out for a ST and watch us struggling against Burton et al. We were fed promises of stadium development, state of the art training facilities etc etc by the Oystons and we fell for it. We're getting the same rhetoric from Simon. Where is it all? Fraid there'll be many more like me if we don't nail a decent young progressive coach and some exciting young goal scoring talent. Dobbie has to be involved. I wait in hope UTMP
 
You're probably right Happy as. I've never felt so low. I love the club but there has been some neglect this season. The Pool means so much to so many. Important decisions shouldn't be taken lightly. When the club is going well it's such a boost for the town. I only hope we're toward the top challenging and playing exciting, goal scoring, winning footie. 😟

Football goes in cycles of ups and downs for clubs like ours. If you don't stick to it and miss part of the upward journey, you'll end up joining half way along to the next downturn.

We all feel low and pissed off but that's football. We will be back sometime, its what we do.
If financially, the OP can't afford a ST next season than fair enough. But don't come out with crap about never feeling this low because of this seasons situation.
 
If I started a thread saying I was renewing, I'd get accused of trying to be an uber fan and bragging over those who couldn't afford it.

Just do what you want to do. We don't all need to know about it.

When you can't get a ticket at the end of the season don't come bleating😉

Totally agree, we’ve had it a few times over the last few years, one regular poster on here threatened not to buy one last year I think it was unless certain criteria were met, why do these people think they are so important that anyone actually cares whether they renew or not, if you want to know exactly what’s going on behind the scenes before committing to spending your money then ok but good luck with second guessing what the season will bring whoever is the manager etc, a lot of people were opposed to Ollie being appointed and that turned out ok, its a totally unpredictable game and that’s why we like it, if you can afford it & want to enjoy the ride which knowing the pool will be a rollercoaster then renew, if you aren’t renewing fair enough, why make a big deal out of it

Anyone saying they're not going due to lack of ambition can't have attended many games in the last thirty years.
I think when it comes to SS, we need to stop confusing lack of ambition with piss poor decision making. Fortunately, the latter can be corrected and the former is inherent in the person.

I've endured the bottom of league 4 flirting with the thought of having to seek reelection and the Oyston years, all thirty of them. 'Never felt so low' is because when Simon arrived and Critch there was so much optimism that perhaps the 2010 promo days were coming back. 16th in our first season in Champs was commendable and I'd thought we'd push on this season. Big, big disappointment. That's why I'm p****d off. We know supporting the Pool is a roller coaster experience but can we just try and start and sustain an upward trajectory for a change following the dark later Oyston years. But, the old chestnut, it'll need some investment on the playing side, which I'm afraid will probably be modest compared to Champs standards again. Week after week we saw teams arrive at Bloomers, bigger, stronger, better organised, more skilful, more quality and we were bullied out of games, protected by the referees. Its gonna need investment on the pitch and sadly I'm not hopeful it'll come from SS.

You can find plenty of moans if you try hard. Any “big business” has ups and downs, good and bad workers (at times) and good/bad luck.
Supporting BFC is not just about the cost of a ST/pay on the gate. Meeting mates wrapped around a match is a social event.

So. As we have no manager in place as yet, but I can assure you we will, and when he identifies his targets and the club sign them, which they will.
On that basis you've spat your dummy out.....I honestly have to question some people's attitudes.
It's your club, and I get that everyone is entitled to an opinion but if people walk away is it going to get any better.????
Is YOUR team, YOUR club going to improve without fans going?
Don't be a Nobber, be a Seasider.....were better than those lot.

It's not like he's going to support Preston or anything he's still Blackpool fan he's just not going to commit to a season ticket

That's his choice

It really isn't a big deal

I've never understood why people put so much importance on having a season ticket

A season ticket reserves you the same seat for every match and comes in handy if you are going to attend the majority of home games, if you aren't able to there is no point in getting one

You've got a short memory if this is the worst season you've seen.

It's been less than 10 years since we were in league 2 and started the season with 6 players

Stadium development is tied to other developments by the council, so not entirely in the clubs hands.
Training ground, I think planning is, in these things do take time.
We did buy the key midfielder but although they were skilful enough they were crocks Bridcutt and Trybull, so not really at Simon"s door, he employed others to make those decisions.
True enough it has been a, season to forget, but if Dobbie gets the job I will be looking forward to next season based on last 6 games
 
If everyone thought like the opening post then crowds would drop to 5k. Let’s show the football league that we truly are the best pound for pound fans in the land!

To be honest Bridcutt was a panic buy because we missed out on our targets and he was out of contract and Trybull came in 6 months too late

So both of them are completely on Sadler
 
The club have been in far worse positions in the last 50 years than what we are in now. If you don't go any longer, I'm sure the other half will find plenty of errands that will cost more than a season ticket, that need doing on Saturdays.
