Northampton Town v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 01.05.21

not a good ground for us for getting a result but we've broke a few hoodoos this this season so we'll see. Think it's important we start well and try to impose our game on them rather than just sitting back and waiting to see what happens.

I'm pleased Embleton is on the bench and not straight in from the start. He's played well for us, but NC knows that he's going to have to rely on other players without him in any future game against Sunderland, so we need to continue to now see him as a bonus if he's available, and give more game time to Robson for his fitness.

According the their pre-match discussion, we were very lucky at Sunderland on Tuesday. Really?

We can't keep being lucky every time we beat the mackems

They have 5 wins of of the last 7 at home and their best results were against play-off contenders. So it will be far from easy today.

IMO the battle at the bottom of this league is the toughest of all divisions.

The Wigan game away at Hull will be key for them today. Hull already promoted may relax and let Wigan in. Wigan are 4 points ahead of Northampton with both having two games left. If Hull take control against Wigan, Northampton can get within one point if they beat us!
