O/T Best Intro to a song ever ....

103 posts in and nobody's mentioned...

Smells like teen spirit.......Nirvana
Still D.R.E......Dr Dre
Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours.....Stevie Wonder
Where Love Lives.....Alison Limerick
Young Americans.....Bowie

A Forest by the Cure extended version. Maybe not the best ever, but the memory of being 15 years old waiting for the bass to begin on an old crappy old record player certainly brings back fond memories to a 55 year old. Happy days
Still stands up today, there's a great version of them performing it live about 6or 7 years ago

No more heroes comes to mind, and the opening to hanging around always takes me back.
The opening to talk talk by talk talk, and the opening to being boiled by the human league is another one that takes me back to my schooldays. "Ok let's do it". Der der: also party fears two (too?)

Some fantastic shouts above, I'll add:

Get a Grip - Stranglers
She Sells sanctuary - The Cult
Holidays in the Sun - Sex Pistols

Always enjoy the openings to
Waterfront - simple minds
Pinball Wizard - The Who
Honourable mention to baba O'Riley also the Who
All as good live as on record/CD
