o/t Morning after the jab?

How did everyone feel? Have got mine coming up tomorrow and wondering if I should prepare work for a likely sick day. I'm 51.

P.S. Hope this can stay on the main board for discussion rather than be demoted to the clinically insane board 😉

Had mine 2 months ago. No after effects at all, my wife had a bit of a sore arm for a day or so. Nothing to worry about. Take care.

It seems to affect people quite differently, I’m 68 and apart from my arm being slightly sore for a couple of days didn’t have any other symptoms, whereas my mate same age had to take to his bed for a day or so with flu like feelings, have a day off anyway and put your feet up!😉

Neither the wife or I had any disabeling effects both had a slightly sore arm where the injection was, but nothing to write home about.

You won't need a day off. I, and almost everyone I know has had a bit of a sore arm or a headache. One lass I work with had 3 days off feeling like crap but in the main very minor symptoms.

My arm was achy for several days but nothing you'd need time off for unless you are a professional arm wrestler!

Myself and Mrs SS, no side effects. They do say the younger you are, the more likely you are to have a side effect. (Cheeky bastards)

I had the jab around 11.00. By tea time, I just felt washed out, really tired. Went to bed early and woke up right as rain and have been ever since.

Similar to Wizaard, above. Had the Oxford jab last Saturday morning - felt quite sleepy Saturday evening, but had a really good night’s kip & absolutely fine in the morning. No other side effects whatsoever.

All my family and relatives 4 in their 80s have had the vaccine and no side effects at all from anyone. Guess we’ve all been lucky
Daughter had a bit of a sore arm for 24 hours but that’s probably because she slept on it. The rest of us asked for the vaccine in the arm we don’t sleep on.

Me and Mrs both had slightly sore arms after, with mine feeling like a strained muscle in the shoulder. But nothing debilitating. The feeling of elation at soon to be safe is fantastic.

I had shivers & aches in the evening, but was fine the next day.
As said above, negligible downside compared to the benefit given.

No-one else I know has had any side effects.

I only know about the after-effects of the Oxford jab. As others have said, a couple of hours later I got flu-like symptoms (shivering and tired) so went to bed. The following day I was fine. The sore am lasted for about a week.

Me, mum & dad (both 80ish) - no side effects whatsoever.
Daughter (mid 20’s) rough as a badger’s ass for 3 days.

I had the AZ jab on Saturday at Poulton Ciivic, really well organised, straight in and out again with a 10 minute waiting room period to check how you're feeling. Thought I was maybe getting a headache later in the day, especially after we didn't score against the Cods, but it never materialised and I've felt fine.

The Wife had her AZ yesterday in Thornton and feels awful today. Similar to a couple of people in the office who had theirs recently. All three seem to back up this situation that's been put out about how folk who've had the virus seem to suffer from their jab more than ones who don't.

TW contracted the virus mild last September.

Had mine Sat at 11am
Hit me Sunday am and I was wiped out until about 8pm when I suddenly came around
Would have struggled to work

AZ jab on Monday evening. On the advice of a couple of other people who had this one I took a couple paracetamol when I got home then again before bed.

Had achy joints and a bit of a headache yesterday and had to have a lie down for half an hour after finishing work but absolutely fine today apart from being a bit sore in the arm where I had the jab.

Just done a 10k run so it can’t have done any long term damage.

Had mine on Saturday. No side effects. Although sensible to take it easy for at least a few days. I’ve replaced my runs with walks for this week.
Get some paracetamol handy. You might need time off work if unwell and that’s fine. It’s expected now.
True about people feeling worse if they’ve had Covid before (whether you knew or were asymptomatic). I’m expecting to be worse with 2nd jab from what I’ve heard. Usually 24-48hrs after jab before side effects kick in.

Had the AZ one on the Thursday, bit lethargic on Friday and went for a 45 mile ride on Saturday. Looking forward to getting my second dose and getting on with my life!

Had both jabs and MrsDP has had the 1st.
No problems at all for both.
The worst part for me was the needle on the 2nd jab.
The lady who did the jab pushed it and said 'Oh that's hard'. And then gave it a real push.
It hurt a bit. 😟
Or maybe I'm going soft in my old age?🤨

Sore arm and 24 hours feeling listless with first jab . We are all different, most get a sore arm, a minority tiredness +/- shivers +/- headache for 24-48 hours and a very few get significant side effects .Good luck, it's Progress towards better times .

Probably hit a bone 🦴 😂

Just had my txt to make appointment. I'm not bothering. I'll take a chance that I never catch the virus.

Both myself & wife had the jab around 5:30 PM & she felt a bit achy by 10 PM until around 11 AM the day after. Me I just felt a bit tired the day after. We are in our early 60’s. Son of 30 had headaches & felt like shit for just over a day.

I had Covid in December and had no side effects after my first jab a few weeks ago (Pfizer)

Just wait till you have the second jab,Ive heard some really bad cases. Just think of that when the needle penetrates your skin for the second time.😂😂

Get vaccinated and don't live to regret it.
No thanks, only 52 and quite fit. Walk 10 miles a day mostly due to work. If it was a cure then no problem but why should I bother? At least if I do catch it without the jab at least I'll know about it and stay home.
