Patino

He will fit in well with the very slow controlled approach play
Different manager, new one is about high energy and pressing. Which is a huge change in direction for Swansea. Can't see it being a smooth transition from Martin to Duff.

Not sure he’s ready for Championship football yet - too lightweight and not yet experienced enough to rely on technique alone. Personally think he would benefit from League 1 football and would have been superb and developed well under Critchley but can certainly understand his desire to play at a better level. Hope for the lads sake he has a better season than last. Immense talent can go wasted if not handled properly- there’s plenty of examples just at Arsenal of that scenario playing out.

I wouldnt judge him too much on last season tbh. He made a promising start age 18 and then got overly relied upon in a side with no defensive midfield and it got worse when long ball Mick took over. We made his life incredibly difficult. And he never shirked, great attitude.

It was a difficult situation that he found himself in with us. Only 18/19, he’s got bags of ability and I’ve no doubt he will go on to have a good career.

I think his spell with us will have done him no harm.

Swansea will be different under Duff but I see them as a team with an outside chance of making the play-offs and should have a style that suits his game more.

Started well for us but his performances started to dip 2nd part of the season and was often over run , was it Appletons fault ? Possibly but I think we have a better midfield this campaign than last year, at this moment we haven't got the problem of trying to find a starting place for loan players.

If you can put some experience and mobility around him in the middle, he should flourish. Technically superb and has a great attitude but he will need to develop other areas of his game. Swansea would be a great fit.

of course his form dipped but is it any wonder when some-one new to senior football was given the responsibility of basically having to carry our midfield. You could see he had the talent, he by the end just wasn't at the right team in order to flourish. Hopefully he will at Swansea.
