Peterborough Game moved

That's our lads weekend away. I'm driving so means I can't have a beer on the Sunday. Gonna be a long day that day is!

That's going to cost me big time. Return travel to Leeds from Scotland, hotel in Leeds for 2 nights, YS train trip to Peterborough - all booked.
Thanks a bunch Sky.

Sky should be made to compensate all those who have already paid for transport and accommodation for any game they shift at short notice.

If you are found guilty, in a pub, of showing a live game without a licence, the fine can be £30k and compensation for lost revenue as a licensee recently found out.

Therefore if they move a game less than 3 months ahead of schedule, those who are affected as above should be compensated by SKY.

Bummer!
Only booked non- refundable train tickets this morning.
Anyone want a ticket from Peterborough to Liverpool departing 11 am on the Sunday!

I’ve also bought train tickets for this, with the revenue the club receives from a live tv appearance surely as a good will gesture they could reimburse supporters (even if it was a percentage of the cost) who have proof of purchase prior to the live tv announcement?

Will the train services not let you change the day. Surely if you ring or go in with tickets they will
Change them. I’ve changed train tickets before with no problems

Depends on the type of ticket bought, advanced tickets can only be used on the specified date and time on the ticket, off peak tickets you can change.

I presume England and the rest of the home nations are playing that weekend as no way they would show us on a Sunday.

As to blame Sky they only show games but buy the rights to show what and when at their call.
Blame the seller.

That is outrageous, it's also a cracking place to go, brilliant pubs one of my favourite away days. To do that to supporters just shows again what a bunch of couldn't give a fuck about anyone business they are. They should reimburse every single person who have paid out for the Saturday.

As if cancelling your Sky Subscription will make one jot of difference the horse has bolted folks and did a long time ago.
You take the money so tough luck.

How about the pittance we received for an FA Cup game which was only flaming highlights that was moved to a Sunday because BBC said so anyone thinking of not paying their licence fee.

Well I cancelled mine a long time ago. Nothing to do with footy. More to do with crap customer service. Paying loads of money and Sky not delivering.

When I cancelled the arse said “you’ll come back. You always do”.

I haven’t. And I never shall.

One person cancelling would achieve nothing, I agree. A million people doing it would make them think hard.. If you pay for their product, and you buy into inequitable schemes like iFollow, you are effectively a hair on the tail that is currently wagging the dog.

Mex no offence but big deal in your SKY issues.
The thread is about our game being moved and it's just tough tits at least most of our games are Sat 3pm.

But glasshopper - every journey starts with a small step.

If only one cancels subscription, then Bastards will continue to laugh at you.

But if ALL cancel - then they won’t rearrange match to alternate day with no consideration of fans who have pre booked (via Sky Affiliates).

A single twig can be easily broken. Many twigs bound together are unbreakable.

It won't happen Robbie and never ever will the new generation are totally addicted to the product you only have to look on how much they gamble on it.

Michelle.
yes you can change tickets if you book a standard ticket. The advance tickets which are exceptionally cheaper are non refundable. Bit like when you book a Hotel at a special rate on a non refundable deal.
Fortunately my advance ticket from Peterborough to Liverpool was only £14.

Been to Peterborough twice - utterly depressing place and the ground is no better. Had no intentions of going and so am rather (selfishly) pleased at this news 👏👏👏👏👏

You've been to the wrong places. Some of the best pubs you'll ever go to on a match day, and for the more culturally minded, Peterborough Cathedral is the resting place of Catherine of Aragon.

Wizaard, thanks for that nugget about Peterborough Cathedral. Me and the wife want to tick off all the Cathedrals of England and we'll look forward to that.

Charters barge/bar is great. Gonna try the brewery tap this time too. Greyhounds is a great night on the Saturday. Cracking place.

We have a Catherdral City in Layton.

I made the missus some cheese on toast earlier 😁

Not sure how many yet, but a number of Yorkshire Seasiders will be going to Peterborough on the Saturday the game should have been played. As we can't get a refund we will just have to have a day out. Anyone else with pre-bought tickets is welcome to join us. We may just wander around to the ground and let SKY know what we think about them before having our cultural visit!!
