Peterborough Off

Just got a notification from sky sports but seen nothing from the club yet, getting ridiculous this now we’ll be playing a game a day at this rate
 
Disappointing I guess there may have been a better attempt ie tent & hot air blowers had we been able to have crowds there. At this rate we'll have CJ fit again 😂
 
Well let's get it played on Sunday then as someone suggested..the temperatures forecast should mean no frozen pitch.
The Tuesday game would then be an issue though.
 
Surely there has to be some common sense here? Forecast showed it was going to be frosty all week, so could it not have been moved forward since we didn’t play on Tuesday? We can’t afford to not be playing

We are due to play next Tuesday as well.
 
Only 2 Tuesdays free now to fit in our 4 games in hand!
Why not play Sunday afternoon??
Why are covers not removed when suns shining ???

I thought about that. No problem with moving to sunday but moving a game from tuesday to wednesday impacts both Rochdale and Gillingham who are our and P'boro's opponents respectively. A decision like that impacts on four teams.
 
You can't take the covers off when the day time temp in the sun is freezing. It looks from the picture that they've have some kind of blowers in but let's face it it's just too fookin' cold.
Sunday is a good shout but there are probably too many obstacles not least of which we be a changing Rochdale to Wednesday as well.
Oxford vs Wigan has been put back to Sunday but neither have a midweek whereas we and Posh have.
Looks like the cold spell is coming to an end so it's just going to be 2 games a week until the end of the season.
Good job we've got a big squad.
 
The temperature is not set to rise until sunday morning, maybe not enough time to thaw the pitch out for a sunday 3pm KO ?
 
Seriously poor form.

Some Arab nation have a rocket going to Mars and BFC cant come up with a solution for a bit cold of grass FFS. 🥺
 
Just for the record - the covers on the pitch are black because that soaks up more heat from the sun and therefore warms the surface as much as possible. Houses in the Med get painted white to reflect heat for the same reasons.
The covers also protect the grass from wind chill etc.
The fact it’s still frozen with the covers and with the sun means there’s literally nothing which can be done. Removing the covers would make it worse.
 
With the temperatures we have endured since Tuesday, did anyone actually think this game would be on ? . Quite honestly a waste of money even trying.
 
I don’t know what’s going on at Bloomfield road these days with frozen pitches especially following Fleetwood’s game going ahead on Tuesday night but AFC Fylde’ game is still showing it’s on for tomorrow?
What are we doing wrong? 😮🤬🙄

No point moaning about it we will just have to play when we can ,we cant control the weather ,i am peed of like everyone else but it could be a blessing in disguise in the long run ,hopefully players back from injuries and rested
