Peterborough v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 17.02.24

I think we'll scab a win tomorrow and go either way on Tues..

Whatever the result, Critch will stand with his arms folded watching half the team run around out of position, send the subs to warm up in the 68th minute, and ultimately blame the ref/pitch/defense/team bus/kit man/ball boy if it all goes tits up..

I’m busy today so I won’t be watching this one. I’ll get my information from this thread so I’m preparing myself for 10+ pages of vitriol and despair.

I doubt there will be despair today, it will be acceptance of what we have become or pleasantly surprised by a decent away performance. For the first time this season I’m ambivalent about watching today, I will but it all feels oh so flat😐

I agree. The season finished at Stevenage, but bigger issue is that this manager is on record saying that regardless of results and performances he will not change the tactics or approach. What’s the bloody point then?

Our season is over so why not try a different approach in in our away games ? Maybe Go 442 with players that fit in the correct position and see what happens

He said in his interview that he believes the current formation is the best fit for this group of players. That alone is madness but more importantly it means he won't be changing anything anytime soon.

On record? Is this fact or AVFTT heresay? If it is then I totally agree, what is the point?????

Gabriel Pennington Marv Husband Coulson

Norburn Byers
CJ Morgan Dembele

Rhodes
He’s got an injury to his back critch said other day and is a doubt. No Jordan Rhodes either he said
he been out with a bad back due back I think

Beesley on the bench, no Dembele, stronger midfield 3 but still the same shit formation and will we see Rhodes again this season?

We can’t do anything about it other than put up with it.
Well I will. Spent £100 on tickets for me and wife for Bolton home and Shrewsbury away. Will be getting a refund for both if this prick is still in charge. Whilst I may well watch the dross served up I wouldn’t want to put anyone else through it!

It could be 4-4-2 but doubt it. Fear the worst in this game mainly because Fergie junior is banned from the dug-out so P'Boro players will not be looking over their shoulders.

We’ve also got tickets for Shrewsbury also st for home games

I am still intrigued why first time Neil was here he played 4 3 3 in promotion season via playoffs , now it’s 3 5 2 , but he won’t chsnge it 🤷

Yeah looks like 352

Grimmy

Penninton
Eki
Hubby

Wing backs

Gabriel and Coulson

Norburn
Morgan
Byers

Lavs
Joseph

Connelly back so fully expect him to come on unless we get battered.

Hope we can do the business in a convincing way and come home with 3pts but I still think he makes too many changes every game, and players play one game and then disappear.. just seems odd. Although that formation never fecking changes

Looks like 4-4-2 to me, with Gabriel in the back four.
If it is, I think we will win today.
