Pies

You could do with a pie expert within the Blackpool fans ranks to sort this out, someone with a reputation for the consumption of the entire range and able to write articles on this site as a result.
They could also report to the EFL if the opportunity arises-maybe at a meeting or something?

Holland’s are terrible these days. Owned by those 2 Sisters chicken people unsurprisingly.

Let’s get a local pie firm in.

I'd love a Holland's pie Down Under.....😪
BobHatton. For all the positives about life "down under", I suspect that like my daughter in Queensland, you would also kill for:

UK sausages.

UK bacon - thick cut ala Aldi.

Greggs sausage rolls or steak bakes.

Prawn cocktail crisps.

I could go on...

Lived in Sydney for a couple of years and never had a problem getting decent sausage and bacon.

You can also get good pies from Pie Face (if it’s still going) and a mate of a mate used to have a business making VERY good pork pies that you could buy with or without Jelly.

Prawn cocktail crisps and English chocolate (if you have lived there you will know what I mean) is also easily available.

👍

The beer is terrible though!!!!

I don't know where you live Down Under, but when I was visiting family (near Penrith NSW) just before Christmas, they took us "just down the road" (about 2 hours drive) to this place:

ROBERTSON PIE SHOP - Home 1596826974617.png

Best pies in Australia apparently! They WERE pretty good and a great selection of savoury and sweet.

I spoke with the serving staff last season about the possibility of getting Pork Shop pork pies. I think they'd fly out. They said, speak to the Pork Shop. I spoke with their baker in the Poulton Shop and he said that it's down to the order that the Club put in.
I haven't gone any further.

Too right! I don't know where she lives in Queensland (that's where I live too) but you can get The British Sausage Company pies in Coles. They are made in Perth by a British butcher and their Cumberland are pretty good!

You got four n twenty pies - they are proper men's pies m8!

I love Hollands cheese n onion pies x

I

Four and Twenty pies
.....pffttt!

I still hang out for a British pie with proper short crust pastry instead of that flaky pastry crap they use here even after 25 years!

Gonna go out on a limb here and agree with the OP.

Really do like a Holland's M&P pie. Yes it's full of spud mush and teeny bits of meat but it's the water crust pastry. It has a crunch to it and allows a good dollop of brown sauce to be smeared (with the finger) over the top.

All other M&P pies are imitations.

Yep you nailed it!

I was a meat and potato man when they were Hollands. Last season, I tried the steak and have never gone back. A far superior, quality product. Prior to Pork Shops arrival, I would have a pie if hungry. Now it's back to bring a crucial party of the matchday experience.

Choice of pies is always a very divisive subject on this board as the majority appear to be connoisseurs in this field. Hollands pies used to be the best but standards have dropped over recent years or is that others have improved in quality?
