PNE Season Tickets 23-24

Were they £150 this season? Interesting test bed to see if going low to get people in leads to supporter retention when you increase prices.

Nice…. Hemmings will need about £150m from the Nobbers sale now to claw back his and Daddy’s loses

Anything that can get more ppl in should be applauded, especially the next generation. Fact is, their pricing is so low because of their capacity vs their core support.

I'd rather pay more to watch us in league 1 than see the club and Simon Saddler rack up millions in debt.
Us fans should do more to get more friends and family to go.
A pal of mine did this when we were promoted to the Championship and now 16 attend together.
And yes, they are all renewing next season.
They have a few beers, a good laugh, they have a fantasy league between them, some sort of betting thing that I don't understand and they travel to plenty of away games, basically following and supporting the Pool whilst having a good laugh with mates.

It can't all be left to the club. A one size fits all approach will only work to a point.

ours will probs be more even if we were in League 1. Let’s be honest I don’t think their price reduction will entice more fans to come really. PNEs home support is crap unless they play us or Blackburn.

Ours work out at £16:52 per game. How is that remotely expensive?
I said their's is a good price.

Our ST's are OK, but in comparison to some of the cheaper ones like them or Huddersfield, is a lot higher and our match ticket prices are very high, which is what I was referring to really.

It's not what a club like ours needs, given the rebuilding needed and the wealth of the area.

The problem is that reducing prices will reduce income when income is already going to be reduced by some people not renewing.
If the squad needs money spending on it which it does, then where is that money coming from?
I can't see people saying, "oh, it's £50 less than last season, I'll have one" and it certainly won't attract many, if any, new ST holders either.

The problem is that we still have a load of mushrooms left from the Oyston era that just think everything the club does is fine

I've got an idea

If you want to spend more buy an additional season ticket next to yours so you can take a friend every so often

Come on they are cheap only works out at £16 a game so put your money where your mouth is and buy an extra season ticket for occasional use

They're not though, not for Blackpool.

Season ticket sales should be better than what they were. Plenty of people have said the pricing is the issue. Blackpool is a deprived town with a lot of low wage jobs.
The one thing I would add is there could and should be better ways of spreading the cost.

My lads are grown up now but when I was paying for 4 it was tight over the 6 paying months.

12 months is doable, starting in April. Paying by cash an option as well. You'd be 5 months in by time the season starts so the risk of non payment is minimal.

£30 a month is manageable by 99%

The fact is if we go down the product is a lesser product, you can't charge as much for that.

They also have to get fans back on board after some self inflicted atrocious decisions, that basically gave our Championship status away.

It's about time they created a buzz, got Dobbie in as he'll be popular, sell tickets, we'll have a feelgood factor, a few decent signings.

Also go with a lower priced strategy, which if done right can earn similar sort of money to the higher.

Even if its a bit less. Think of the advantage of having a full stadium and growing the fanbase. Can even be an investment in the fanbase. The club have underestimated that side of it in favour of a relatively modest bit of guaranteed cash. Rather than believing in a lower priced strategy and ensuring they get the numbers going needed.

But tbh if we went with 300 quid with Dobbie I don't see how we couldn't retain most of those who have ST, maybe even get more if we do it right.

Even then up the road they'll have championship football for less and like it or not people see that, think well we're a league below and in a poorer area....

We can leaflet drop the area if needed.

Also go with a reasonable match ticket price, if it needs to be like the category system them so be it. 20 23 and 26, something like that.

Concentrate on filling the stadium as we know how much our fans can make a difference.

The whole pricing structure needs reviewing, with the focus on making it easy for people who go regularly to persuade others to go with them.
Season ticket holders need to be able to get cheap matchday tickets for their friends and family. If necessary, introduce a "gold package" that allows them to do that. But we must start enabling our fans as marketing tools. The club are making that too difficult right now.

I could've gone to pretty much every home game this season for nowt, the amount of ST holders I know who couldn't be arsed. So I'm not sure ST sales alone (or ST holders attending even) tell the full story.

I think a lot will also depend on which manager is brought in. We could well lose a lot of fans and st holders imo if the likes of Critchley or Alexander are brought in as the fan base will be split and wouldn’t take long for it to turn toxic if the team went on a bad run of games
We buy 4 season tickets and we’re going to wait and see what’s what before committing

Exactly what I was driving at.

WE are the club. That's why we go.

My suggestion was to give ST holders a discount on the season after this if they achieved a certain amount of match day ticket sales (to friends and family) in the coming season.
I don't know, maybe £2 off for each ticket sold, after a certain amount, so in effect if you sell 5 you get no reduction but if you sell 6 you get £2 plus £10 for the first 5...as sales increase to say 15, it changes to £3 off after that so in effect if you sell say 20 you get £30 off for the first 15 @ £2 then another £15 for the next 5 games....so £45 off.....any after the 20 would then get a £5 reduction so say 23 league and 2 cup games would be a £70 discount if you sold enough.
It wouldn't be limited to 1 ticket per st per game either so if you had 4 mates (max number) you could in effect get a £280 discount.
The voucher could also or the scheme could be changed, to use in the club shop.....just a thought really.

I don't think we are in any position to criticise anyone else's home support

The season ticket price is not the issue IMO. THose that buy them will generally buy another.

The match day ticket prices are the problem. This season they were a joke.
They need to be priced to get people in. Any more than £20-25 next season and they are making the same mistakes again.

Pne average home gate this season is 16,300 with after Sunderland & 4 over 20,000 which is brilliant building our fan base & getting young fans & family’s following the club.
Over 1,700 for away matches .
All clubs should be looking at lowering s/t ticket prices .
We have put match day prices up to starting at £30 upwards next season .
Look after the loyal fans .
Hope you stay up we need local teams in the championship

I think we're at over 12k average this season, with considerably higher prices and an awful season.

How many do you think you'll get next season?

And you’ve still had a fair few pay potg despite the higher prices because your club created a feel good factor at the start of the season

It’s looking very positive I think most will be renewing & I am hoping for a few more to be honest . New shirts out this season so hopefully massive increase there also .
Crap early on but a exciting end with Sunderland last match another 20,000 as Sunderland sold out the away stand over 2 weeks ago.
This is how it should be with every fan .

My mate has just renewed his season ticket at Preston for the 54th consecutive season. That’s some going that. To think he’s watched them in every division apart from one.

I’m not knocking this. It’s proactive and good pricing by Preston.
We went for the ‘feelbad’ factor instead.
Even Karl managed to sort a payment plan. Think you could even choose the period, up to 6 months to spread the cost. There’s no excuse really.
Not really expecting the tone deaf Bullshît to rectify any mistakes from this season.

Because that's what most people do on a football forum......
They open the thread, read what's been written.......and then they write a comment to add to the discussion.......it's very simple

I mean the comment.....not you.....🤔

Here to help....

Is the budget likey to reduce because of the Hemmings fund reducing, is that true?

Anybody who uses an ellipsis so abundantly, so incorrectly and with more than the designated three dots is highly unlikely to be helpful to me, old chap.

Don’t know really.
I think that every championship club has to reduce cost & players wages with the changes that are been made to FFP .
We had a very small squad this season so cost were drastically cut .
With 7 or 8 players leaving this summer
The word is that the season ticket payed off financially .
don’t think we will be spending unless a sale of a player .
Ridsdale gets a lot of stick but I think with his role on the EFL board means we no exactly what going on .
But none of us know what Craig Hemmings & family will do budget wise .

We're well within ffp so it should make it easier to compete with similar sized clubs who overspend... ahem.
