Anyone else raise an eyebrow when he said he was up there with Pep and Klopp?? :)

Looks like a very average CV to me.

Good old Bullshitting Sam.

1991-1992: Limerick. First stint in management as player manager of the Irish club.
1992: Preston North End. Youth-team coach and a brief stint as caretaker manager.
1994-1996: Blackpool. First managerial role in England but sacked after failing to achieve promotion.
1997-1999: Notts County. Led them to the Third Division (now League Two) title in 1997-98.
1999-2007: Bolton Wanderers. Won promotion to the Premier League in 2001 and led them to a League Cup final and Uefa Cup qualification.
2007-2008: Newcastle. Left after just eight months in charge following a disappointing run of results.
2008-2010: Blackburn. Guided club to Premier League safety in his first season before he was sacked in December 2010 with Rovers 13th.
2011-2015: West Ham. Led Hammers to promotion to Premier League in 2012 but left three years later following criticism of his playing style.
2015-2016: Sunderland. Appointed in October and guided the Black Cats to Premier League safety.
2016: England. Appointed Three Lions boss but left by mutual consent after one match and 67 days in charge following a newspaper investigation claiming he offered advice on how to "get around" rules on player transfers.
2016-17: Crystal Palace. Appointed in December 2016 and led the Eagles to Premier League safety.
2017-18: Everton. Finished eighth with the Toffees after joining in November 2017 but left in May the following year.
2020-21: West Brom. Took over from Slaven Bilic with the club 19th in the table but was unable to avoid relegation.

He's never even managed at their level. A few games losing at a then poor Newcastle and 1 game for England does a Pep not maketh!

He'll certainly set them up correctly - to their strengths. Whether their strengths are good enough is another matter.

I rate him - I think we'd have beaten both Italy and Croatia with him in charge, especially Croatia.

It’s his way of getting belief into the players. With such a small number of games I think it’s canny. It’ll either work or it won’t.

I do agree with his views on playing out from the back, great if you have the players to do it but 99.9% of teams don't.

Whilest manager Sam went door to door in Limerick trying to raise funds for the club because they were in financial dispare, to his credit he’s highly rated on and off the pitch here.

Although unfortunately he suggested Neil McDonald to Limerick too 👎🏻

I think SA feels the need to blow his own trumpet because he thinks he doesn’t quite get the respect he deserves.

Take the OP for example, refers to all that as an “average CV”.

.... and you would say it's more than that??

When he is directly comparing himself to Pep and Klopp? Do you need me to post theirs?

I suspect below average?

(looking forward to this reply :) )

When he said he was up their with Pep & Klopp.......what he meant was, they all have very dodgy accents nobody understands
Sam's from Dudleeeee.......Even I need an interpreter for that place and I'm a Brummie

Big fat knacker who tried to line his own pockets even while England's manager. Talksport love him. Enough said.

With a user name like that I can imagine you are probably an Alex Belfield fan. He is currently doing time for being mean to people. Describing someone as fat is not the done thing. We are not in the playground. It wasn’t good then and it’s certainly not now!

Why can’t you describe someone as fat? It’s an observation based on fact. No judgements about the rest of their character.
And if they’re offended, it is a choice….

I honestly think it’s quite a clever move. Everyone talking about Big Sam’s comments and no one is talking about how Leeds have taken 1 point from the last 15 with a -13 goal difference. Whilst that will probably get worse on Saturday and Instill don’t hold much hope for them, he’s immediately taken a lot of pressure of his players.

Because I have been banned for far less🤣🤣🤣 just trolling mate. It’s 2023 every Frucker is a victim surely you have had the memo? 👍

Yes I read all the Billy Bunter books and he seemed such a jolly fat boy enjoying scoffing cakes and chocolate. His sister Bessie was a porker too I love fat birds more to explore😜
Never really got into the Billy Bunter books for some reason but I could read an Enid Blyton book in a day easily. They say now they weren’t good for us. That probably explains a lot 🤣. Much better world then.

It was all mind games by Sam and very clever of him as well.
He has took all the attention away from the players and got it focused on himself, so, round one to him.
I don’t think for one second he believes he can beat City, or indeed maybe none of the remaining fixtures but his game is trying to get the winning mentality instilled into his players
Sam is in a no lose situation. No-one will expect him to win but if he keeps them up he will get a £1million bonus and probably offered the job on a full time basis.
Hodgson and Warnock have managed it so why not Sam.

He'll certainly set them up correctly - to their strengths. Whether their strengths are good enough is another matter.

I'm not sure Leeds have the players to suit Sam, much like us with Apples and McCarthy.

Sincere apologies to all the tubsters out there. Indeed I am no rake myself.

I have had a word with my un-woke self and addressed the error of my ways.

I hope no one can find offence now.

Hang on, hold your horses. How can an observation been an insult?
He is portly, he is rotund around the girth. I used to be a slim 28 inch waist 30 year old when I was still playing sports. I an know a contented fat old sod with a face that looks like it has been slept in. I'm sure fat Sam with all his cash couldn't give a monkey's chuff if someone calls him portly or not, he's laughing all the way to the bank.

Oh golly gosh indeed the great Enid Blyton! Her use of the terms Nobbers and Dingles caused furore in Preston and Burnley but the rest of the world loved it! What a legend!😄

BTW who is ?
Alex Belfield
Genuinely don't know.

The equivalent of Pep and Jurgen has got 2 points from 9 games.

Busted flush and hopefully never seen in football again.

I'm delighted Leeds went down for employing such an arrogant, over rated hoofball dinosaur.

After the England manager debacle he should never have been allowed anywhere near a managerial role in football in this country.

He was a totally unsuitable, lazy match up for that Leeds team.
Mind you, we did exactly the same with Mad Mick and it had the same result.
Both come back to terrible decision making by the Board.
