Portsmouth a free hit

We're level with the playoffs and you think us failing to beat a team unbeaten in 27 or 28 or whatever would warrant Critch being sacked šŸ’€ what is our fanbase
I think BFCX3 has got this spectacularly wrong tbh.šŸ˜‰

Not winning against top of the league who havent lost a game would in no way justify a Critch departure especially bearing in mind we are away.

Portsmouth are in League 1, so we really ought to be putting them to the sword, home or away tbh.

First sentence something sensible i agree for once - but yet another clueless comment do you have any idea about football

That is a statement i have never heard in football and i've played a bit may i ask what timid and wet means enlighten me please
I would say it describes some of Critchley's tactics sometimes.

It is most definitely not a free hit. If we lose we will be 12 points off Portsmouth with them having 2 games in hand.

We no longer have any free hits this season.

We have to keep on trying to chase the front runners and cutting the gap to Portsmouth to 6 on Saturday is a must for any aspirations of automatic.

As I said above, Portsmouth are in League 1... We really need to be aiming to beat them convincingly home or away. The main thing is to never ever pass the ball backwards or sideways, because that is never going to win you anything...
As long as we have a football club and players innit. And some grass.

Whatever the bare minimum is what I want to see.

Actually wasn't bad under the boycott years under the Oyston family to be fair. Bovril wasn't bad.

Aslong as we do the bare minimum and stay where we are, that's all the matters. Those that are ambitious are thick idiots who know zip about football.

We didn't play that bad against Lincoln or Derby to be fair, just it was too cold and the weather wasn't quite right for our brand of football.

We need to be aiming to beat everyone home and away isn't that obvious? so are you saying no backwards and sideways passes at all because that is how it comes over? if so i think that is the worst most stupid statement i have seen since i have been on here which isn't long

So are you saying we can't play well when its cold and the weather isn't quite right. what a silly comment that is

Yes absolutelyā€¦ Only forward passing please because thatā€™s what Ollie didā€¦ Thatā€™s what Blackpool is all about.

  • Haha
Reactions: no9
I think that most of us are hoping we will win on Saturday but are expecting us to lose so it's a bit of a free hit before the Christmas run in, A win would be magnificent, a draw very good and a loss would be a blip but not one to get all doom and gloom about.*

If we can stay in the top 8 to the start of January and sign 2 or 3 players who will really add wha we are lacking to the team then we will be really well placed for an onslaught to the end of the season.

^ I reserve the right to moan like fuck during a game, as is the way!
No such thing as a free hit.
We should be beating teams like this!

you have lost the plot obviously you know nothing about the game
Maybe you can educate us all ā€˜about the gameā€™ ?

I understand youā€™ve ā€™played a bit of footballā€™ā€¦ Are you trying to say that there might be some method to all of this backwards passing malarkey ? šŸ¤”šŸ§šŸ¤Ø

I think we should put all 11 on the half way line for opposition corners , that way we force them to put their entire 22 man squad in their own half šŸ‘
Except a corner is a ball played back so they'd all be onside...

We'd be handily placed for a misplaced pass leading to a breakaway though.

no free hits in this division. We are capable of going there and winning. Losing and we are three points further behind them and making the task of catching the top two even harder.
The other one of the top two might lose, so we might not be three points further away.

Am I the only one who think's that if we try to keep it tight we will get beat by a good side? There is quite a bit of precedent this season, so let's die trying.

of course there is a method to the passing, its all about creating space, movement, making runs to create space for the other players, taking certain players out of position by the runs enabling others to their jobs. Its not rocket science.
Every player will have roles and responsibilities during a game

Hmmm intriguing stuffā€¦

Critchley must go if we fail to win, what a stupid comment, i think you last comment of getting at them constantly and passing the ball in a forward direction is even more stupid. Just about sums up your knowledge of the game.
Keep the jokes coming its making me laugh and putting a smile on my face
I'll get my own coat, you stay on the couch mate

It will be the usual disappointment after a decent home win. That's almost as guaranteed as the day turning to night. At least these few days prior allow people to live in hope and believe in the process.

Portsmouth is a must win game for meā€¦ A 6 pointer that will almost certainly define our season. Critchley must go if we fail to win. We need to go at them constantly passing the ball in a forward direction.
Donā€™t know if that comment is tongue in cheek x3 because I thought you supported Critch and now youā€™re advocating that he must go if we fail to beat the top team who havenā€™t lost a game so far.
Careful mate you are beginning to sound like the fickle members of this forum.

It's definitely not a free hit, a point would be a decent result given the run of fixtures we have following it.

I said on another thread though that I reckon we're gonna do 'em!

You mean thereā€™s more?šŸ˜²

Anyway.. forget all that nonsense.. Hopefully Critch has learned his lesson and weā€™ll be going forwards from now on ā€¦ šŸ‘
With the Championship budget and players we came down with, we should be teaching Portsmouth a footballing lesson. If Critch doesnā€™t start with Rhodes, Dembele, Beesley, Joseph and Kouassi even if heā€™s not fully fit, it shows a complete lack of ambition. We should be tonking the likes of Portsmouth.

Sounds a bit like possession based boring football. A real Critchley yawn fest.
Up and at em is much better, if only we had given McCarthy more time, we probably would have avoided relegation. As bifster says forward passing is the way forward. Why doesn't Critchley know that?
If we don't win on Saturday the fans will turn. Mark my words.

Score more goals than Portsmouth and we will win that's a proper football statement and would you be surprised its been around for a while its how the game works would you believe. If a team was visiting Blackpool and kept the ball like we do you would be saying Blackpool were out played, couldn't get the ball what a good side they were etc etc
I would be saying that they should sack their manager and bring in Mad Mick McCarthy. He'll get a tune out of them!

No chance whether you like him or loathe him he ain't going nowhere, you do know you need possession to be able to create things, forward passing is the way forward because the basics are you have to go forward to score or didn't you know that.
Lesson 1 learnt

Playing all those five that must be a wind up post, as per usual on here
