Probably won't be on massive wages and at 34 he should be an experienced number 2. Getting rid of Maxwell and bringing in an obvious back up goalkeeper is a huge show of faith in Grimshaw, hopefully he repays the faith shown in him.

Yeah we'll probably bring another in unless we're happy with one or a combo of the development squad lads.

Only if O'Donnell's worse than Maxwell, which isn't a given. If the money's invested in more important areas, I have no problem with it.

I accept we are yet to see evidence of this re-investment but the hope is that that's to come.

We know we have a good GK in Grimmy and O'Donnell seems like a more-than-capable backup.

What did Stuart Moore do wrong? I find it bizarre that when we had 3 decent keepers, we're fannying around with that position when there are big gaps elsewhere on the pitch.

Maxi wanted to play every week and knew he wasn't going to. Not to mention the savings on wages. My issue is, is he good enough? I'd prefer to have 2 good keepers competing for the shirt than just 1 and a keeper who's happy to get splinters on his arse.

He was the Rochdale supporters player of the year and still under contract so fee will likely be paid. Sounds like a decent character, did a lot off the pitch too apparently.
