He'll be a lot cheaper. Is he better than Maxwell? Otherwise what was the point?
Wages. Is he better than Maxwell? Otherwise what was the point?
The point of what? Maxwell will probably get better than L1 backup money somewhere else. So now it's Grimmy's job and we need a backup. Is he better than Maxwell? Otherwise what was the point?
Yeah we'll probably bring another in unless we're happy with one or a combo of the development squad lads.I wonder if this is to be the 2nd or 3rd goalkeeper? Either way I guess that we will still be looking to bring in another goalkeeper.
The point is we're weakening the squad. The point of what? Maxwell will probably get better than L1 backup money somewhere else. So now it's Grimmy's job and we need a backup.
Nope get a kid as third goalkeeper like we did last time in Lge 1 then when Maxwell got injured/Covid easy just to bring one in as a loan.I wonder if this is to be the 2nd or 3rd goalkeeper? Either way I guess that we will still be looking to bring in another goalkeeper.
Or spending the money in more important positions, hopefully. The point is we're weakening the squad.
You reckon?Or spending the money in more important positions, hopefully.
I’m hoping.You reckon?
Only if O'Donnell's worse than Maxwell, which isn't a given. If the money's invested in more important areas, I have no problem with it.The point is we're weakening the squad.
What did Stuart Moore do wrong? I find it bizarre that when we had 3 decent keepers, we're fannying around with that position when there are big gaps elsewhere on the pitch. We also released Stuart Moore so could be his replacement rather than Maxwell's.
Weve lost 7m in revenue from the Championship, and ticket, tv and other revenue will fall too. Out turnover trebled from about 5m to about 15m when we we were promoted 2 years ago.The point is we're weakening the squad.
But we had Maxwell in League One.Weve lost 7m in revenue from the Championship and ticket and tv and other revenue will fall too. Out turnover trebled from about 5m to about 15m when we we were promoted 2 years ago.
But not Grimmy. Iirc. But we had Maxwell in League One.
A bit of experience between the sticks to cover Grimmy in the pizza trophy, the horror!!!!So he's not any better and we're just saving money putting our eggs in the Grimmy basket?
Maxi wanted to play every week and knew he wasn't going to. Not to mention the savings on wages. My issue is, is he good enough? I'd prefer to have 2 good keepers competing for the shirt than just 1 and a keeper who's happy to get splinters on his arse.Is he better than Maxwell? Otherwise what was the point?
So we're crossing fingers that Grimshaw stays fit all season?A bit of experience between the sticks to cover Grimmy in the pizza trophy, the horror!!!!
I get your point Lytham but I think Maxwell was on a decent wage here. Too much for a number 2 to be sat on. And this lad might be better aswell as cheaper. The point is we're weakening the squad.
If he doesn't, the bloke we're signing will play instead of him.So we're crossing fingers that Grimshaw stays fit all season?
Is that really how it seems?Banksy just sorting his mates out from Bradford after alienating our keepers from last season it seems
There did seem to be some unrest between the GKs last season, wonder if the GK coach had anything to do with it?Is that really how it seems?
That's the other option.Nope get a kid as third goalkeeper like we did last time in Lge 1 then when Maxwell got injured/Covid easy just to bring one in as a loan.
I'm pretty sure that the consensus on here was that keeping Maxwell weakened us.The point is we're weakening the squad.
There's also FFP to consider when budgeting for players so these are the choices/chances you have to take.So he's not any better and we're just saving money putting our eggs in the Grimmy basket?
Did there? I heard Grimmy was upset at being dropped which is fine. Not sure there was any GK unrest other than fans disagreeing with the managers selecting Maxwell. There did seem to be some unrest between the GKs last season, wonder if the GK coach had anything to do with it?
I do love the comment “not rock the boat for Grimmy”. He must be the only player outside of the elite in the world who MUST play. We can’t be having any competition for him now can we ?I know nothing at all about him? Google tells me 34 and 6ft 2”.
Perfect for me that. Low cost, local and will not rock the boat for Grimmy.
Let’s deploy the resources where they are needed most. That’s one position ticked off if it’s a completed deal?
Yep and there we go - Blackpool cheap and not so cheerful as usualHe'll be a lot cheaper.
He was the Rochdale supporters player of the year and still under contract so fee will likely be paid. Sounds like a decent character, did a lot off the pitch too apparently.Yep and there we go - Blackpool cheap and not so cheerful as usual
Im not sure anyone has stated that as fact. They’re just asking the questionDo people really know enough about this bloke to say he's not very good and a step down from Maxwell. Personally I'd never given him any thought, on any day of my life, to pass an opinion on him before I've seen him play.
Maxwell was better then Grimmy ,so yes what's the point. Is he better than Maxwell? Otherwise what was the point?
Yep and there we go - Blackpool cheap and not so cheerful as usual
That was the fans fault and how could Maxwell stay with the way that he was treated? The point is we're weakening the squad.
Maxwell was our better goalie .The only reason he was treated the way he was ,was because he wasn't home grown.I'm pretty sure that the consensus on here was that keeping Maxwell weakened us.
Whether that was right is another point entirely.
next joke?Maxwell was better then Grimmy ,so yes what's the point.
HahahahahahaMaxwell was better then Grimmy ,so yes what's the point.
