So!

Faced with responding to posts from my aggressive stalker (ex mod) who's a blatant Right wing EU Nationalist and also a committed Socialist.

Which was then followed by a threat by our 'even handed' Moderators about my 'choice of words' to describe the 'ex mod' (I responded to the 'ex mod' by combining his Euro Nationalist sympathies with his Socialist traits!).

.... I wondered how to respond to the threat of a long term ban for my choice of words to describe the 'ex mod'

Well.... I posted a poem by Kipling about the relationship of white men with other races.

Kipling 'The White Man's Burden'

Under the title of 'Saviour Complex', which is the poem's major discussion point.

The moderation and people behind the scenes of this latest guise of AVFTT, aren’t much different to their former one.

The main difference being this time, they’ve handle the whole “this site is closing” debacle, in a much better manner.

You simply have to be careful what you say politically. (Far left leaning is preferable, or middle of the road Blair Labour, and a safer option to avoid sanctions)

Excellent - a return of the much missed Avftt Poetry Corner!!

Here’s my contribution which disappeared when the Don was brutally censored last time - slightly tweaked to reflect events. Fingers crossed for better luck on this occasion.

There is a Lasher called Don
Whose posts have all gone
To find a jest
Is a bit of a quest
And laughs? Of those there are none.

Just to say the board is independently moderated (and not by any Blackpool fans) and these days we only respond to posts that are ‘Reported’ and take necessary action if we feel that the complaint is justified.

So actually it’s all the users of AVFTT who are the moderators of the board. For reference we get a lot of Reports on a daily basis and are pleased that fans are using this facility as it takes away the onus on individual moderators to scan through all the posts on a daily basis.

Thanks for that clarification. So in effect the looney left don't like what some people on here say so they report it and you take action.
And you think that's reasonable.

Loony left is jumping to conclusions. Once Don K gets going on gammon and his insistence that any Remainers are from the far right Nazi party, I think it could be anyone reporting him.

Yes.....it's reasonable for all users to moderate this site......If you don't like what people say, press the ignore button....I have 2....1 being Cat/Kurious
I am happy for them to comment on here but I would rather not read it, as they have ulterior motives every time they post
I have reported 1 post.....it was racist, stupid and made by a ignorant and hateful person............That should narrow it down to 4 or 5 on here.

Mates says.....both side of an argument........But sometimes there isn't another 'side' to an argument.
95% of the posters on this site are down the middle, willing to discuss or open to new ideas......we have 4 or 5 to the far right and 2 (maybe 3) extreme left.......seems most people spend their time trying trying to change their ideology......which will never happen.

Great to know the mod is NOT a Blackpool fan......sense of perspective etc. etc....although they did remove my picture of Donny T getting a spray tan....?
I thought it highly amusing......and they had pixelated his c##k out...... 😎
 
Sorry, I haven't reached the content of Don's opener yet. I'm still struggling with the sentence construction and the avant garde use of punctuation.

A tad unfair that, 20’s, IMO. It suggests that only the ‘looney left’ report posters, and the mods always take action, both untrue.
How many times has Cat been reported, I wonder?

Yes a tad unfair I agree. Just wanted to make the point that imo the left leaning posters outnumber the right leaning ones by a fair few so on the balance of probabilities they are more likely to complain. I put the word "looney" in simply for effect.
 
I've used the 'report" function, and I doubt anyone would say I was on the loony left. 😎

I think that bus deregulation had been a disaster but I also have never reported anyone ever on internet forum.

I'm told I get reported quite a lot, but posts are removed only rarely, probably because I can construct an argument that does not require foul language, threats or wishes of harm to other posters. I think the last post I had removed was one showing video clips of far right racists attacking the police in London and it was removed for inflammatory rhetoric!
I report posts that are abusive, threatening or clearly racist. Some get removed some don't but I appreciate that you get a response.

Don, you're coming across increasingly like a needy school child. What is it you want me to do, provide a literature exposition of Kipling's work, which I'm not overly familiar with? Didn't he write The Jungle Book? There are some good songs in that. My favourite is the one with the vultures, "That's What Friends Are For."
In the current thread, you're referring to The White Man's burden, an exhortation of the American white colonists to create more Lebensraum for themselves across what is now the USA under, what was it, the concept of manifest destiny, or some other excuse for racist crap imperialism?

Having observed Donk for a number of his 'Friday night episodes' I'm convinced it's a shout out for someone to listen and acknowlege him, his need for professional insightful analysis, a good care plan and strong effective medication. We're always here for you Donk.
