Stockport bid 250k according to Nixon which was denied flat out by the chairman as being untrue.says it all.
 
The signings that happen are the ones we don't know about. I think with the names that get put out in the public domain linked to us rarely tend to get over the line. As much as I would like this to happen I rate it at about 30%, and that's from the other side of the world.. 😁

Back in the Stain's days I used to get some really good info but never put it on here, I would tell 2 or 3 people off here I am friends with but that's all, there were some who did back then and of course loose chips sank ships in those days as there wasn't an iron curtain around the place.
This here is just attention seeking, it has to be.
 
It's obviously hit a snag on personal terms or there's been a second bidder. Neither would surprise me, especially the latter given how publicised our approach was.

And if you had come on here and spilled, I’m sure you wouldn’t have been ITK for very long. Your sources would have soon shut up.
 
Maybe Carlisle have accepted an increased offer for Moxon, and we've backed out of the Banks deal?

It's been 3 weeks since our last signing but there is still no reason to panic. We are clearly active and the fact we are linked with the likes of Moxon and Banks tells me we are looking at the right sort of player, in the positions we need most. Patience is a virtue and all that. 😁
 
Says on football news now(via crystal palace)deal agreed its now up to the player seems it could be down to wages /personal terms🤔.
 
At the end of the day, we will do what's right for us and not what the player or other clubs want. As frustrating as that can be, I'd rather us put ourselves first than get taken for mugs. At least this is what I tell myself when I'm getting frustrated 😂

The transfer so far have been fairly easy, a couple of good frees, Peterborough wanted to cash in on Norburn, Joseph was linked to Yates.

Now we're into the harder area of contested transfers, where the club doesn't want to sell, there might be other interest, these sorts of transfers always take a lot longer and frequently only complete just before deadline day.

I have just heard back from a C. Palace friend/ supporter. He has seen Banks play, says he is quality, would prefer him to stay at CP. But if he joins BFC, will be ideal for us. Fingers Crossed.!!
 
Has anyone been down to training ground, it would'nt surprise if 2/3 these players going through drills etc. Club would
announce signigs late tomorrow ?
 
Genuine question:

How many players have we signed after the news has been leaked days before, if not weeks?
From memory, especially recently, by the time the news has leaked the deal is as good as done.
Very rarely it seems have we ever signed anyone more than a few hours after the cat is out of the bag.

If it is the agents or the clubs themselves releasing the news in order to bump up the price, I don't really see any fault from our side in not getting the deal over the line.

Someone else said that this seems like one where the agent has leaked it to try and entice other clubs in and I'm tending to agree with that, especially if the rumours about personal terms being the issue are true.
