A friend was shopping at Bookers last night.
Some nutty woman was kicking off at anybody she thought were ‘shoppers’ and not legitimate businesses..?
Almost came to blows as she started body slamming into people…WTF

It’s going to turn into the Walking Dead soon with people breaking into Tesco Express to steal a tin of beans and leaving the money.

Yep, just back from Sainsburys, Lidl and Farm Foods.
Barely spent 20 quid in total. Nowt left to buy.

I did try that as an alternative but kept getting error, probably overloaded and I just gave up after an hour.

I had a manic afternoon trying to buy paracetamol (I'm fine, just getting prepared).
Only one shop out of 9 had stock. There was a long line waiting to pay - I had to remind 2 queuejumpers where the queue was (no arguments, I'm a big bloke).

So I sneaked back to that place 30 mins later and bought 2 more.
Either the assistant didn't recognise me from the first time, or they turned a blind eye.

It actually suppresses the ability of our own defences to combat covid19.

Lucky I just got outta London all friends there say No toilet rolls , Cereal, Eggs ..or cat litter as they think their cats will get the virus !..Meanwhile in Suffolk, people are just buying as normal.....so far

If the words 'lockdown' are mentioned, I can only see it getting worse sadly. Ironic isn't it that a country which has a history of having a stiff upper lip and being an example to the rest of the world has turned in to this. Churchill must be turning in his tomb!

there was no Milk on the Wirral at the end of last week - Now every shop has plenty of it ! What a difference 48 hours makes. Also plenty of canned goods and Fresh Produce(which there wasn't last week) - All the Freezers are empty now though !

I know my Nan would have been after living through two World wars, she told me a lot about it and the sacrifices people had to make.

Yeah, worked in Bury St Edmunds for about 6 years, then ended up working from home with a weekly commute into London. Miss the place really. Although Ipswich is a bit of a dump once you go off the main street. Or at least it was.

Passed Tesco in Bury twice today. Both times the car park was only a quarter full. Not sure if that's because there's nothing to buy or everyone's fridges, freezers and cupboards are full.

Just been to local shops in Layton. All I wanted was some Crisp n dry sunflower oil for cooking. Had to queue for 20 minutes to pay.
Going out shopping with the missus when she gets home later. God knows how bad it'll be and what we can get.

The problem is made worse by the fact you have to go into 4 or 5 shops to get what you want rather than one. Bigger chance of infection as a consequence.

Tesco's delivery dates online go as far ahead as 12th April and no slots at any hour on any day. So much for my loyalty card and years of custom
