Shrewsbury v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 02.03.24

I don't think we have been very good that half Dembele apart. I'll take it cos we are winning but it's not a great performance so far at all I don't think. Maybe it's a confidence thing and we will grow into it more.
The first thing I saw when I put the game on was Pennington turning back, hesitating and then overplaying at the back and it couldn't have made it any clearer that these players aren't comfortable with how they're asked to play. Play too far apart from each other in this set up.

They look dangerous on the counter. We're committing a lot of men forward, has a freaky Friday switch between Holloway and Critch happened at half time? 😅

Really not enjoying watching Norburn currently. Needs to want the ball more, find space quicker and stop slowing things down. Been a number of times where Byers or Dembele are in space and he holds it up and looks backwards.

A few thoughts...
* Byers is having a great game and Coulson is also very tidy
* CJ should be taken off asap and replaced by Gabriel
* Dembele is simply sensational and getting better and better
