Shrewsbury v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 02.03.24

Only listening to comms but seems we have found a decent blend today.

Coulson back and proving he should be a regular starter.

Sounds like Byers is playing much better today after a slow start.

Dembele proving he should start every game.

Rhodes back is an obvious bonus.

Gabriel should also start every game and CJ stay on the bench.

Bring Albie back for Norburn and that's a team capable of beating Stevenage to that final play off place 👍🧡

Well done

Please don’t start CJ instead of Gabriel next time Mr Tinker!

Weak today from CJ I’m afraid
Good performances from Byers Coulson Marv

Solid from everyone else

Excellent from Dembele - chefs kiss on that

Back to comfort spot 8th??

It’s been a solid performance from us today 99% improvement on Tuesday night.

Let’s not get too carried away though Shrewsbury are down the bottom end for a reason.
It's the poor teams we usually struggle against Jaffa so that was a great win 🧡

Really not enjoying watching Norburn currently. Needs to want the ball more, find space quicker and stop slowing things down. Been a number of times where Byers or Dembele are in space and he holds it up and looks backwards.
its quite obvious the byers is now that central pivot, so why Norburn is playing is an absolute mystery to me. morgan, carey virtue, all all better. we are literally playing a man down when Norburn is on the pitch.

Once again they have responded in the only way they could.

The mystery is we just don't know what comes next with this team/management.

Credit for responding with a win but oh how we have made things hard for ourselves with the away form. The numerous points chucked away on the road is the biggest frustration.

Expected it to be 2-0 in a poor game today but the thought never crossed my mind that it'd be for us.

Earlier in the season I might have brushed off three points as we only got them because the opposition were limited and weak but seeing as we've been no better at times ourselves so far then it's a big relief. Looked like the Shrewsbury subs could have teed up a very familiar feeling at the end so a second goal just when it was needed.

Walking back to the car. Buzzing. Loved that. Solid performance which we bossed. Grimmy little to do.

Rhodes back at the end gets me thinking it’s not over yet 👊

UTMP.

Ps Not read this thread yet but A Tense Grin you can go fook yourself!
You revel in the token win that papers over the cracks.
