Exactly. Staggering that people don’t understand this (still)You can’t renew the contract of someone who doesn’t want to sign a new deal.

I realise it only applies to players under 24 (Bowler's d.o.b is 05.03.1999) but I'm not sure if that applies literally to the players age when his contract expires or some date in the season similar to the cut off dates for say u21s in the squad ie for this season u21 means u21 on 01.01.2022.There’s no tribunal fee. We get nothing.

Maybe I didn’t know he dosnt want to sign a new contract if he dosnt then fine , sell him , cash in , we don’t want players who are not committed do weExactly. Staggering that people don’t understand this (still)
Agree , and as some rude people have pointed out to me lol ,he won’t sign as he dosnt want to , so if that’s true , cash in on himIf Bowler stays until the end of the season and he hasn't signed a new contract by then we will know exactly where we are.
I'm pretty sure the tribunal fee won't be significant.
I'd take £3m now for him from a PL club but would be disappointed if he went to another Championship club.
£5m might persuade me to let T'Rovers have him.
Yep, was the best midfielder in the league last season. Thought he’d go for more tbh.To be fair O'Brien is absolute quality and will be a good asset for Forest
More likely " undisclosed "I think we will get a "tribunal" fee.
Its been reported Todd Kane the Coventry City Right Back/Left Back has been left out of the
Coventry team to face Portsmouth today in a friendly. The reason given there is interest
from another club. He is 5'11" 28yrs.
I think he will be too old at the season's end for it to go to tribunal, he will just go for free. The sensible thing is to offer hom a new contract with a buy out clause!I think we will get a "tribunal" fee.
Yes I think we've established that now.I think he will be too old at the season's end for it to go to tribunal, he will just go for free. The sensible thing is to offer hom a new contract with a buy out clause!
No thanks, allegedly a bad influence in the dressing room at Chelsea, QPR and Coventry. Has had a lot of clubs. Its been reported Todd Kane the Coventry City Right Back/Left Back has been left out of the

City loaned their tea boy to usWe're definitely a selling club, we've just not been very good at it so far to the tune of zero big sales. They can't get anything going and if incomings are reliant on outgoings there's no wonder its stagnated this summer.
Stuck in a circle of having a squad under contract but all performing at a similar level so nobody is standing out yet due to Critchley's approach, the never ending injuries and not being in league one now.
There's only Bowler because of his natural ability. And so of course he's the one on the shortest deal and every day he's still here he's now costing the club money because he can walk away at the end of his option and the other clubs know this.
On the Man City example above they are a selling club but they can easily palm those off they've finished with like Sterling to balance the books because of the Guardiola factor in making him look better than he is.
chaffed knee? Scuffed shoes? The Sun is reporting that Bishop failed his medical with us due to a childhood injury. At least now we know.
Dodgy crosier ligament apparently. The Sun is reporting that Bishop failed his medical with us due to a childhood injury. At least now we know.
We are serious rather than frivolous which is why it's taking time.Makes you wonder just how serious we are about spending cash on players. Just a week until the season kicks off and we are short in numerous positions.
Tin hat time..
Rinse and repeat, echoes of the past.Scrafters tweet:
"It's going to be a big week in the transfer market leading up to the Reading game. Andy Lyons news is a blow, but I gather alternatives are already being worked upon. Club hopeful of two signings this week (we've heard that before, I know...)"
How many deals have we called offSo, this new practice of agreeing terms with a player and then calling the deal off for one reason or another. Enhancing our reputation isn’t it? Players will shy away from us once they hear we’re interested. Absolute shambles.
Maybe a short term loan for Seamus?Scrafters tweet:

I know Sean is on here a bit but that article is pretty misleading. The deal was rejected by Rovers due to it not meeting the clubs valuation, the injury to Pico is neither here nor there really. The offer was rejected before the game on Saturday where Pico got injured even.
Anyone got a fullback stashed inside the sofa?
1 - he’s been playing for over 15 years with an injury incurred when he was small and scored goals throughout his career. How many deals have we called off
1,failed,a medical and given the sicknotes we have signed I would suggest we are prudent to be rigorous
2 Called off by the selling club due to injury situation
I'm beginning to get annoyed with it now, all we hear is hopefully soon from rumour sources and then hear a different way it's broken down or just hear nothing and no one arrives. We hear nothing from the club, but we know they are trying, but its clearly not working. When we did hear it was hopefully in before Scotland, then nothing happened, hopefully during, then nothing happened.Scrafters tweet:

?Fan favourite set to depart to fellow Championship club
Qualified doctor are we? However trivial it might appear there's a judgement call here. The Club would have taken medical advice before making the decision.1 - he’s been playing for over 15 years with an injury incurred when he was small and scored goals throughout his career.
2 - an offer of an additional £200k (when we received over £1m for Critchley’s), would probably have secured the player.
You go on thinking everything’s alright.

It's really disappointing to follow the transfer news.
It wouldn't be as bad if we had all available players fit, but we never do, they just drop like flies.
We always seem to find a way to cope and sometimes thrive through injuries, but ffs its getting silly and we don't have a fit RB whos played at any sort of level before.
2 loans up in, which is good, but can't seem to complete a permanent deal.
I understand having a budget and not being taken for fools etc, but players have a price.
Big week and even then they won't have had another sort of time to bed in and familiarise themselves with us.
Shite summer so far.
The same medical advice that every one of his other clubs have taken or have we got Reggie Perrin’s doctor?Qualified doctor are we? However trivial it might appear there's a judgement call here. The Club would have taken medical advice before making the decision.

I agree Tangy, I think the door’s still open for a move - I guess it depends on whether we sign anyone else this week. I just find it confusing that we are the only club amongst all those that Bishop has played for that feel the need to send him away when all the others are happy to take him on, with the same medical evidence. Thanks I will
What are the insurance implications of buying a player who failed a medical.
Very easy to spend someone else's money for Lyons Shamrock would have quadrupled their return in 1 year.
I think 200k was a fair price with add ons and believe a deal was close.
Think Lyons may well join us for a similar amount when Shamrock have got over their injury situation.

I wouldnt be too disappointed if Anderson goes, looks like he cant be arsed at the momentI think we'll see 1 or 2 outgoings this week and a shock in there.
Bowler, Yates, Anderson and maybe Ekpiteta.
But not the other 3!!I wouldnt be too disappointed if Anderson goes, looks like he cant be arsed at the moment
Yes I would be disappointed to lose any of the other 3, but im resigned to losing Bowler either in this window or januaryBut not the other 3!!
