Sunderland v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 04.10.22

Hope Embleton has a shocker
Think they are without Ross, Simms and Ballard so they are struggling with injuries at least as much as us

According to the Sunderland legend called Terry, Simms has gone back to Everton for a scan on his big toe and Stewart won't be back until after the World Cup. SAFC therefore have the same problem as the Mighty - lack of striker(s).

Terry is usually an entertaining watch, I’d love to see him having a meltdown if we batter them

Looks like Gabriel is one of the players MA said got a knock on Saturday and I wonder if Poveda or Corbeanu are nursing an injury too as he said there were 2 players who had knocks?

Well cannot say it’s a defensive line up, about time that front 3 did something otherwise they will be left behind as we start to get more players back from injury / match fit. Not convinced but it’s over to them now to prove me wrong

We need to keep the ball away from Pritchard in midfield. We should be able to get at Embleton. He still looks lightweight to me.

Shocking lineup. Pointless changes yet again. At least it’s not 5 at the back again. Lavery and Yates out wide is so League One.

Good lineup bearing in mind a few got knocks. We need a high press & when they are knackered sub all 3 for Proveda Theo & CJ. Fancy this one 👍
