He picks his team on a horses for courses basis, and he consistently gets a significant majority of his calls right.

To address my own point, Kirk had an excellent game. It was a very tactical affair and I would still have preferred 2 up top, but to win with less than 30% possession demonstrates Critch had a very clear plan.

Four games against Russel Martin's teams, and three 1-0 wins. I think it's fair to say Critchley knows what he's doing. Our manager is adaptable, theirs isn't and that's why we won.
