I can't imagine i will bother with any more matches until next season now there is nothing to play for

Done about 28 games so thats not too bad

1 point from the last 9 has just killed the season

The entertainment factor this season has been minimal to be honest, we have ground out some decent results but it's hardly been edge of the seat stuff

We struggle to create chances and are reliant on a strong defensive shape

Mid table probably about right given how many points we have thrown away in the last 5 mins or so of matches

Desperate in need of a creative midfield player to unlock defences and it will be interesting to see what pans out with Bowler and how we replace him if he goes

Big transfer summer this to see if we can kick on

Hopefully we can sign some key starters who will improve the team

Every summer is a critical transfer period. We have not done too badly recently.
Of course, the best one was summer 2009, but shhhh, best not to mention that period. Put it down to the luck of the crazy goblin manager.

Take on board what you are saying but would be interested on how your kids feel about your decision, as an exile myself i understand how hard and costly it can cost to get to games but quite enjoy seeing how happy your kids seem at the games, especially when they receive match worn shirts.

28 matches, well done you👍🏻

You have a well earned rest and seriously, if you haven't been entertained this season pop down the road and try watching the Nobbers next season. You'll realise how good we've been this season.

I haven't told them yet

Got a lot on at the moment what with work and the end of the kids football season so just won't have the time

12.30 kick offs and bank holiday games are also a right pain

That's the spirit mate. I'm a current Blackpool player, I think I'll put my feet up too, and I'll tell the rest of the squad at training tomorrow to do the same.

I suspect if we did that you'd have an opinion on it and it wouldn't be favourable. Cheers for your effort for 0.60 of the season though, much appreciated 🤪

Spoken like a true supporter🙄
Personally I'll be supporting the lads and celebrating every point, and every goal, up to the last game. Passion isn't something you can turn off and on like a tap.
We certainly didn't struggle to create chances at Blackburn, (we made more than than they did, and they supposedly have 'more to play for').
I agree about the need for a creative midfielder though.

Looking at the Nobbers match i would think you were already on holiday

Yeah we should have beaten Blackburn to be honest only the bizarre negative substitution that cost us

You not coming up for the Derby game mate?……. You could organise another protest 😂😂
Done my bit mate

It was nice to catch up with a couple of the hero's from the book though recently

Meeting The Lord of the Moss and Sir Koudo of the Knights Watch in the same bar will live long in the memory

Just a shame Baron Timmy 2 Scarves wasn't about and it would have been a full house

Would have been standing ovation time for sure

Baron T or Timmytenscarves as he is now known was last spotted with a clipboard helping the old age pensioners of Poulton back onto their coaches 😂

Husband as left midfield are you mad he didn't cross the half way line
You weren’t at the game we’re you ? In the final 20 minutes he won the ball back in their half 3/4 times and linked up and overlapped Keshi on a number of occasions. You see what you want to see it seems. But you’re seeing it wrong.

Of course i was at the game hence why i think taking off a striker for a central defender was a negative move

Madine was isolated and we stopped pressing high

Madine couldn't even run never mind press
So what about Madine ? Keogh coming on let the back 3 become a 5, Gabriel and Husband pushed up to WB’s and Keshi and Bowler pushed further forward too. If it hadn’t been for Bowler getting clattered and spending the last 15 mins limping I reckon the ball Keshi played to him ends up in the net as opposed to hitting the woodwork. The Keogh sub was bang on in my eyes.

I quite like the 'no point' matches, it's relaxing, you should try it, when's the last time we had nowt to play for?

But not as high as when we had 2 strikers on the pitch
That’s not how pressing works ! 442 has NEVER been a pressing formation. You need 3 or even 4 forwards / attackers to press or else the opposition just pass to the LB / RB and pass around you.

By allowing Bowler and Keshi to push on we pressed more snd higher than any point in the game.

So we haven't been pressing with a 442 in about 80% of our matches this season then

You are talking nonsense

I genuinely thought you were a WUM or on a fishing trip or maybe even a nobber but in reality you just lack a fundamental understanding of football tactics in the modern game.

And on that basis I apologise. As you can’t argue with someone when you’re not even talking about the same thing.

So you actually think we dont press with a 442 and you have the cheek to be critical of me

Get back to football manager son

I can assure you he was at the game, otherwise Gabriel has got some throw on him to chuck a shirt from Blackburn and make it land in a back garden just outside Rhyl 😃

Tbh in a way Phil is right. We DO have a big job to do in the summer. If we are to kick on next season and finish top half we need better players. Simple as that. No room for sentiment in football. These lads have done brilliant to get us promoted and keep us in the division with ease. But if we are to get better we NEED better.

I trust the manager, recruiting crew and owner to get the job done. If Phil is feeling the strain both mentally and financially he’s earned a break and can come refreshed for next season. I’ll be doing all remaining games bar Luton (early kick off and disabled end with the home end can fuck right off). Think I’ll finish off on 28 games. 18 home and 11 away.

Next season will be tougher. No way the teams coming up can be as bad as Peterborough and Barnsley. Norwich and Watford will be strong.

With Blackburn, Burnley, Preston and Wigan in the league, as well as likely a combination of Huddersfield, Hull, Sheffield United, Middlesbrough it’s going to be a pretty northern league

Can't disagree with any of that and 28 games from an expat is excellent. Happy with another Championship season to look forward to.
I think the players attitude is great but most lack that bit of skill to turn an opportunity to a real chance. Still on an upwards trajectory though
