Even though he was getting on a bit when we signed him I thought he would bang the goals in
How wrong I was ☹
Weird how as fans we see players differently. I always thought he was a solid championship player... but thought he had far too few tricks in his bag for the kind of player he was to go further than thatYep I'd also say Tom Ince . . . always thought he'd be good enough to become an England regular.
My first thought. The new MessiGerardo Bruna
Was going to say same myself.1980 - Ted McDougall

Irc Sheron actually played well but just missed almost every chance he got. He looked class but didn't actually have any impact.Shocked no one has mentioned Mike Sheron yet. Absolutely handed us our backside for Barnsley then signed and was completely mediocre.
Perkins was here at an awful time for the players.Brian Griffiths…….tore us a new one every time he played here for Wigan
David Perkins…….ran the show here for Barnsley,
neither reached the same heights in Tangerine
Thought he was our best player under Hendry.I always go for Simon Wiles for this. I really rated him but he just faded into obscurity.
His off field activities were not like a professional. Yet loved the game. Played at Atherton LR.Tony Diamond
I thought he would be a class above in the lower leagues,I even had "Sheedy" printed on the back of my 53 shirt at Sports Corner!. In hindsight what a tit I was and what a let down he was.Kevin Sheedy. Great player who carried on 1 season too long. Unfortunately, that was with us.
He did score a screamer at the Wendies in the AutoFreightRoverWindscreensPapaJohn Cup semi-final.Irc Sheron actually played well but just missed almost every chance he got. He looked class but didn't actually have any impact.
He dominated us when we played at Burton a couple of seasons ago. Thought he would be a very good acquisition for us.Last season Olly Sarkic. Show reel looked epic.
Me too Bollie. I was genuinely excited thinking he was that goal scoring midfielder that every team is searching forHe dominated us when we played at Burton a couple of seasons ago. Thought he would be a very good acquisition for us.
Although he did have his own song and a pet seagullTiago Gomes
I don't imagine pool fans singing OKane for Freeport did wonder for his mental healthWith his Man U pedigree I thought John O'Kane was going to be great.
With the benefit of hindsight he'd be getting help for mental health issues.
Heard a story of him turning up to training tripping off his head on acid! His off field activities were not like a professional. Yet loved the game. Played at Atherton LR.
Bednar was just starting to get match fit then got the injury that finished his seasonRoman Bednar
