With Moore being sacked I think James will be stayingSorry yeah i used the wrong thread. This one needs stickying. Not too proactive our mods? Too many multiple threads for same topics too.
Discussions are underway as Sheffield Wednesday look to try and bring Reece James back to the club next season following promotion.
Owls manager, Darren Moore, is a big fan of the Blackpool defender having worked with him even before his arrival at Hillsborough on loan last season, and it was always thought that they’d be considering the option of bringing him back.
James himself, who played 34 times in Wednesday colours on their way back to the Championship, has made it clear that he’d jump at the opportunity to return to S6 if it presented itself, and talks are now taking place to see if that can happen.
Agreed - Nixon knew nothing of the Morgan deal and his record recently (Donnelly as DoF to name one example) has been shocking on us. I take anything Nixon says about anybody with a pinch of salt.Nixon’s source of info is no longer associated with the club.
Have to say I’m not at all convinced by Darren WitcoopAnother defender linked.
League One Clubs Fighting For Services Of Brentford Defender - The Real EFL

Good to know we have someone reliable with their finger on the pulse , mateAnd another to keep this thread up to date although it does seem a bit pointless as I'm the only one that does.

Had us down for signing Aden Flint. Was one of many who linked Gary Bowyer to us
If he’s a journalist why isn’t he publishing these pearls somewhere more profitable than Twitter?
So filing both this and his Ollie Norburn ‘scoop’ under … we’ll see
Good luck to the lad. Long career but few starts. Hopefully gets a chance after Ripley left
I have a feeling Ipswich are going to do very well next season, especially if they can get signings like Simms over the line. The next East Anglia derby promises to be a good one, for the first time in ages I fancy Ipswich to finish above Norwich.According to the BBC football gossip page, Everton have turned down a 4m bid from Ipswich for Ellis Simms
Is that the sort of investment needed for Championship football? Or is it a mad tilt at consecutive promotions?
Posted before I read the sheer magnitude thread
Quite a statement of intent from Ipswich if they're prepared to spend that sort of money. Norwich seem to be going through a strange spell of signing random foreign players and a lot of their fanbase isn't happy, that said, they have sold over 20,000 season tickets already. I have a passing interest as we lived near Gt Yarmouth until 4 years ago and have quite a few friends who are Norwich supporters.I have a feeling Ipswich are going to do very well next season, especially if they can get signings like Simms over the line. Weve done Robbie Williams. Scored for us at one of our Wembley gigs. We'll probably end up with Robbie Williams.
Whittaker is more of a winger. Highly unlikely he'd be a Gyokeres replacement
Ak ok. I'd not heard of him. He's 6'3" so tall for a winger. Hes described as a winger/striker on Wiki and played in the two behind a lone striker at Plymouth but wide of Piroe at Swansea in a 3. Versatility maybe. Possibly exactly what they want from a Gyokeres replacement. Tall mobile, good all round game.Whittaker is more of a winger. Highly unlikely he'd be a Gyokeres replacement
Unless Grimshaw's on the way out, I can't see that.Another elderly keeper?

No, Maxwell was on high wages and wanted to be #1.Unless Grimshaw's on the way out, I can't see that.
Edit, in fact, wouldn't it have been cheaper and more sensible to retain Maxwell.

No chance this is legit.Another elderly keeper?

this one isn’t happeningNo chance this is legit.
He's 35, contract runs until 2025 so would need to stump up 100k+, and would obviously be backup to Grimmy.
Sounds like an agent trying to get his client a pay raise.
I asked the mods to close the first thread and carry on with this one but @avftt_admin just ignore me.What's the difference between this thread and the one that is pinned
I doubt this will happen also. I'm sure they got a fair wedge for the lad they sold to Luton but highly doubt they'd stump up the sort of fee we would demand for Marv.

Well he is. In PL2.Prolific
But maybe Vale is much better than Holmes? Developing players isn't the only goal. First goal...Let's develop Jack for T'Rovers and send Brad Holmes to Timbuktu on loan. Sounds sensible to me.
