The Summer Transfer thread. Critchley Part_deux.

Would be disappointed if we had Kaikai back this year, never mind for Rotherham in a league above.

Showed quality once every 5 games. Looked absolutely terrified to be on the pitch for the other 4.

I see Plymouth have spent 1M on Bali Mumba from Norwich, he was on loan there last season. I know it's no guarantee of success but if you want to try and survive at a higher level maybe you have to speculate to accumulate?

The guy that was with the Club today doesn't sound like he impressed at Lincoln.
I don't think the writer of this article was impressed either.

I think their "sources" are trawling this forum.

I think our midfield would be weaker without him.
He will score goals at this level and is stronger than at, any time in his career.
So who could we buy who would be better for 200k?
Theres only two players I can think of, Dennis Adeniran free (Sheff Wed) could be expensive or Tommy Leigh at Accrington Stanley
scored 12 goals last season, they want £200.000 for him, are these any better ?

After watching the game today I think that in central defence we are doing fine and we're well stocked in central midfield. It's the forward areas that we are lacking in quality. Hard to see where all the goals will come from. Wasn't convinced that Beesley is good enough. An addition or two is needed.
No left winger all game as far as I could tell and when the front two went off no striker options at all said it all.

Scott Banks would be class, I wonder if Critch sees him as more of a center forward, winger or creative midfielder.

Edit: It looks like he can play across the front line, but played as a CF for Bradford.

Would be a good replacement for Beesley if that’s the case.

Banks would fit the model, also a bonus he is left-footed and can take free-kicks. Dobbin was highly rated at Everton and considered a better finisher than Simms! He was mainly played out wide at Derby last season and possibly a bit lightweight. I would still like a more physical experienced CF like Chris Martin but not Tom Eaves!

From the report, we are preparing a 500k bid and an unnamed championship club are interested in a loan deal
I think that makes sense, he'll be 22 in September and hasn't played above L2 yet, I think at that age his club will be looking to cash in and move him on.

£500k seems a bit steep, but then it depends on how much of that is add-ons.
