This is the typical reaction of the brexit supporters. It's always me, me, me, I haven't seen any problems. They have absolutely no concern to what is happening to the country as a whole. We have left the world's largest trading bloc, on our doorstep, to go scratching around the planet to join other trading blocs, who know that we are desperate for deals and consequently we will get screwed.
It is the brexit voters that are the traitors, they do not give a shit what happens to this country as long as their prejudices are met.
It is all about controlling our borders; not going too well that. Lovely blue passport.
 
Lorry driver shortage all over Europe. Google it and you might learn something about this subject. As for Brexit well Blackpool voted 67.5 per cent to leave the EU. The majority of posters on here live in Blackpool ( not Catford or St.Albans) so the odds are you are not going to get much support for your Brexit opinions.🇬🇧

The size of Blackpool's Brexit majority simply reflects the insularities of people beyond even the periphery of national influence or involvement. Certainly beyond the periphery of a metropolitan mix of races, cultures and personalities.

Most people don't give a feck about race and don't spend their lives trying to introduce non existent race angles at every opportunity.

I am not suggesting that you are guilty of this yourself 66 but race and racism get discussed all the time in AVFTT world.

I can't remember I had a serious discussion on race/racism in real life.

I thank you for your conciliatory approach. No, I wasn't talking about racism per se. Rather, the lack of any real mix on the Fylde that keeps a number of people somewhat monocultural in their outlook.

I think it's fair to say that you were suggesting that a number of folk in this area voted for us to leave the EU because of their - insert word for multicultural insecurities or whatever you want to call it.

You are perfectly entitled to hold such an opinion and I have no problem with you expressing such an opinion on here but it is only your opinion.

I wouldn't know exactly why people voted to leave or remain, the result was very close and I wouldn't judge somebody on their opinion of whether or not the UK should leave an economic union.

PS - I was just about to have a pop at you for not giving me credit for making it clear that you are not guilty of harping on about race but I found my dictionary just in time.

I don't know about opinions. I've lived for quite some time. I've seen how people on the Fylde approach life and I've lived away in other places. That has formed my views, along with reading stuff. There are other reasons why people voted Brexit. However, I'm thinking of underlying behaviours.

Exactly, it's just your opinion.

How you formed that opinion doesn't change anything.

Like everything some will agree with you and others won't but we don't know why anybody chose to vote to leave or not, you just had to put down yes or no and didn't have to show any workings.

Many on here seem to think they are better because they happen to live or have lived in a multicultural environment, the racism/multicultural uncertainty/whatever we call it is an easy option for deciding exactly why some in this area voted for Brexit.

Was voting for Brexit a crime ?

I'm not commenting to change behaviours, just to explain things from my pov. That's all any of us can do. Was voting Brexit a crime - no, of course not. Do I think it was wrong - yes, I do.

I think that is a crock of shit Birmingham is pretty diverse 50-40% voted leave and when you consider the population is nearly 1.5 million.
 
What is all this “imported” beer rubbish anyway - most of it is brewed in this country under license by the same couple of breweries that brew all the non-imported domestic beers!

You could have said I was wrong. But no, you decided to insult as well as, err, inform. Birmingham was very close in its vote, not far from the final result. It is a metropolitan area that also has swathes of suburbs that aren't.
Interesting thought, nevertheless.
