Wassup with the Muckers?

There was a collective effort to fight the Oystons . Associations were formed .

When that ended most left. The anoraks and some warriors remained .

A bit like when you see punk rockers still walking the streets now and again or people dressed as Bros.

It’s wrong to think fan groups are only required in time of crisis. That’s a short-sighted view. Owners and custodians of all clubs need to be held to account, in good times and bad.

Do we have too many groups? Probably. But that’s another debate entirely.
Agree to an extent but a fan owner of a club like ours who is basically a benefactor pumping millions a year in and who owns the club for non commercial reasons should be cut a lot more slack and light touch accountability should be adopted. The war is over.

I don’t think too many groups are a problem so long as they and their members treat club management with courtesy and respect .

In turn each group should be treated equally by the club whether you are called BST The Muckers or The Fairies .

If everyone can get their house in order and behave properly there should be no distinction in relationship with the club .

Even though the Muckers get blamed for the social media criticism there will have been been BST members posting stuff on social media last season heavily criticising the club and the board .

It might not have done by the top rank officials of BST but their members will posted some bile now and again on Twitter I suspect .
