He’s not good enough plain & simpleThe transition was totally down to Carey with a shocking touch that gifted possession and directly led to their goal. Not the first time.
Yes, a young man who will not prosper under Appleton.Wright ?
These two are the problem, don’t know what they’re doing and I believe I’ve read that Mansford is Appletons mate so as I’ve said many times before the club just isn’t right. Sadler needs to bring DOF and strong one. Wholesale changes needed in the background!Simon Sadler and Mansford seem happy with it or they'd of done something about it
It's just so predictable, and MA is supposed to know more about football than we do.Appleton needs to change this or we will lose. Watford made two subs at half time to try and take the initiative while we've got some good players on the bench with MA watching and hoping, rather than making something happen.
they might be quite a good pairing going forward IF we actually played through the midfield, I hate to think what our long ball stats are today.Persevering with Carey and Patino together just makes no sense at all. Two young lads learning their way. They are walking through us and they are not even a particularly decent team.
He’s gone to Plymouth hasn’t heYes, a young man who will not prosper under Appleton.
The board won't sack him after bringing players in as that's daft. As I've said he's got 4-5 games to save his bacon. That was not the team I expected given our additions, even Bridcutt managed a half on his debut & if Trybull couldn't do the same either off the bench or starting I'd be surprised. Yates should have started too with Gaz, with Bowler & CJ sharing a half each.Unfortunately if he does we could be cut well adrift by then and staring league 1 in the face.
to be honest i was never convinced by bowler, one of those players for me who can look very good with a tricky turn and the odd goal, but cant contribute regularly, and defensively was always a liability (not a popular opinion on this board i know). the one thing today though was he didnt try to defend, but it does mean whoever plays right back will be exposed. He showed a few times that he still has got it
It will be too late by then, he either needs to go now or not at all.I don't get not using Trybull for at least 35 minutes & I'd have had Yates with big Gaz plus Lyons was ok against NF. I could join in the get rid brigade & feel justified. I think he will get 4-5 more games to try & turn things around.
and hoof it forwardIf we are going to by pass the midfield and play long ball then why pick two ball players in the centre? Might as well have started Connolly and Dougall in there to rat about and win the ball back?
players make mistakes, what bothered me fo rthe first goal was as the rebound went in we still only had three players backThe transition was totally down to Carey with a shocking touch that gifted possession and directly led to their goal. Not the first time.
Andy Lyons....arghh! Sorry for wasting your time. He’s gone to Plymouth hasn’t he
Jesus, don't let him know, imagine the formation...Huddersfield a must win/certainly not lose for Apples
9-0-1Jesus, don't let him know, imagine the formation...
Maxwell and the youth team keeper.9-0-1
or maybe 8-0-1 and we play with two keepers
Well I can't believe he didn't start. Well yes I could actually because logic is mot involved in the Mancunian pwrsona.Yates already looking very sharp.
Can't believe he didn't come on earlier
Yes that would be good...... Maxwell and Moore !!!!!!9-0-1
or maybe 8-0-1 and we play with two keepers
Ok, so he gets your 4/5 games, we don’t win any, what then. We would be in the position of 15 games left and needing to win most, if not all, of them. Which manager, with any sense, would come to a club which is not only sinking but is nestling in Davey Jones locker? The board won't sack him after bringing players in as that's daft. As I've said he's got 4-5 games to save his bacon. That was not the team I expected given our additions, even Bridcutt managed a half on his debut & if Trybull couldn't do the same either off the bench or starting I'd be surprised. that is worrying because he was getting back to his old selfSide note, hope marv is ok and nothing serious
Cheers fella, I couldn't be arsed looking it upYes that would be good...... Maxwell and Moore !!!!!!
Can we play 2 keepers as it would stop the Maxwell Grimshaw spats9-0-1
or maybe 8-0-1 and we play with two keepers
Was he?that is worrying because he was getting back to his old self
I missed the substitution/injury so I've no idea what he's done.Side note, hope marv is ok and nothing serious
bowler was a peripheral figure for most of the game, had one decent run with a pass at the end, mostly ran into trouble. saying that we hardly played to bowlers strengths. I thought Rogers was decent but hes another who has a tendency to try too much and is a bit head down at times. You need to blend grit with talent. Too many non physical lads playing.
CJ and Carey as starters - not for me.
Bowler showed us what we've been missing.
the last three games or so hes been more assured, his positional sense has been better and his recovery tackles and interceptions have been more like how he was previously. Was he?
Yes, and the manager played the wrong right back. We all know of Bowler's inadequacies and strengths. He wasn't brought back here to defend was he ? If so we are really in trouble. He needs service, and that's the manager's problem to solve.to be honest i was never convinced by bowler, one of those players for me who can look very good with a tricky turn and the odd goal, but cant contribute regularly, and defensively was always a liability (not a popular opinion on this board i know). the one thing today though was he didnt try to defend, but it does mean whoever plays right back will be exposed.
It’s ok - for a minute I thought we’d signed a new dynamic midfielder / central defenderAndy Lyons....arghh! Sorry for wasting your time.
Oh dearAppleton on Radio Lancs saying we were the team on the front foot and looking very comfortable and the score not reflecting the play.
Marv has done his hamstring.
Poveda out with groin strain
Hamstring apparentlyI missed the substitution/injury so I've no idea what he's done.
He does it way too often, it used to be when he was going.for a shot, now it's causing us to concede goals. Somebody get him some new boots for fucks sake!!If Sonny Carey slips in possession one more ** time. Slipped against Sunderland = goal. Slipped v Watford = goal.
is that oh dear applying to all three pointsOh dear
is that oh dear applying to all three points
because the second and third to me are oh fuck written in huge letters up the side of the tower.
He's always up for it !!!!! Anything !!!!Yates looks up for it
Everton! Can't think of another club that wouldn't sack the manager, with his team on this kind of run.
Christ on a bike!....these players are getting these injuries because the tactics are CRAP!Appleton on Radio Lancs saying we were the team on the front foot and looking very comfortable and the score not reflecting the play.

if appleton thinks we were the team on the front foot then he's more deluded than even i think he is. we had a bright spell after yates came on for five minutes but i cant seem to remember any point in the game where we had sustained pressure.Appleton on Radio Lancs saying we were the team on the front foot and looking very comfortable and the score not reflecting the play.

Hamstring of course.I missed the substitution/injury so I've no idea what he's done.
I think we were on the front foot when they scored the first goal. We were coping with them quite comfortably at that point and starting to get forward more.if appleton thinks we were the team on the front foot then he's more deluded than even i think he is. we had a bright spell after yates came on for five minutes but i cant seem to remember any point in the game where we had sustained pressure.
been saying that for a while, the defensive disorganisation means more stretched tackles and interceptions. i think the disorganisation is also responsible for our awful red card record.Christ on a bike!....these players are getting these injuries because the tactics are CRAP!
i think we were coping with their strikers in general but as always we allow teams to play up to and around the 18 to 25 yard line and from there anythings possible.I think we were on the front foot when they scored the first goal. We were coping with them quite comfortably at that point and starting to get forward more.
