What was your highest attendance for a league game watching Blackpool

Yep , same . At home 33,555 v Man Utd . There was actually a fair few more that , as United fans broke down the gates . 1965 ?

I don't know what my highest home gate is, probably against Man Utd or Liverpool in the mid 60's when it would be a regular 30k plus.

Think I've been in Old T with 67k in there but my biggest was Wembley in 1973 when they used to get 100k in.
Biggest at ER would have been in late 70s v the likes of Liverpool and Forest around 42k.

First 30K home game I attended was Sunderland at home in 1964. There were several since including the already mentioned 33,555. People were climbing the floodlights to get a better view.
Man Utd and Arsenal away in 2011 were the highest in the PL season.

38,000 against Wolves at BR in 1950s. On the Spion Kop stood on a wooden stool made by my Dad!

Mine is probably the away game against city at maine road in 98, 34,000 or so?.

edit:
CITY 3 BLACKPOOL 0

League Division 2

8th August 1998

Attendance 32,134

Sadly I suppose it was Man United away. First time I was really impressed by an away crowd though was Arsenal away in the FA Cup. First time I'd felt like a lower league supporter!

Great night that 1999 where does the time go?!
Didn't feel small time as I reckon we took at least 1500 that night out of a crowd of 34,143

Mine was Everton home but by far the best Preston away 0-3 the whole ground just seemed to be pool fans the atmosphere was electric.

Only started watching the Pool in the mid 70's when I was about 14 (family weren't football fans), so the highest home league attendance for me would be 25-26000 against the Murderers in 1977 (25,789 I think it was but not sure). Apart from the Cardiff play-off I'm not sure for away matches, but probably Man City (edit - just seen previous post - thought it was more than 23659 - I stand corrected

What about the Yeovil play off final up until then? A gate of 59,313 but they actually sold 59,314 tickets for some strange reason.
Home game;
39000-odd v Wolves in the mid 50’s.
I was sat on the cinder track, but my Dad said that it was all he could to even breathe, it was so packed while standing on the Kip.

The last 30k + crowd at Bloomfield Road vs Everton with youngsters sat in front of the Kop wall.
