I can’t remember a season where we’ve played such Jekyll and Hyde performances between one half and the other. What’s going on?
This is the answerTinkerman and instructions to keep it tight pre match or at half time.
Yep this.Tinkerman and instructions to keep it tight pre match or at half time.
Very well saidWe played for 90 minutes which reflects the score
If you listen to the pundits and the Bromley manager it was an all round professional performance from us and when you consider the number of changes from Wednesday it shows we have strength in depth
Unfortunately a lot of posters on here expect us to win every single game and even when we do win it’s never good enough
If Critch had played the same team as Wednesday and we had got beaten then he would have been slagged off for not resting players.
Do people get a kick out out of constantly slagging off the manager? And if so are really supporters of BFC.
congratulations on your 35th post.Very well said
Has anyone on here ever played football because i don't get what I'm reading, its like reading a comic book. The answer is - He doesn't know what he's doing, that second half was dog doo .... If Bromley had scored does anyone think they wouldn't have scored a second, they were better than us in the second half ? His substitutions are beyond comprehension, his starting team selections apart from tonight are generally bizarre, his tactics are boringly defensive and we have players that should be nowhere near the first team ... I know we won but I'm bored of him, bored of knowing what he's going to do and bored of generally knowing the outcome. He's so predictable it's boring ...
What he’s saying is, if we’re winning, just defend, if we’re losing, attack until we’re winning then defend. He doesn’t seem to realise that the other team might score. The snake needs to stay out of the dressing room at half time plain and simple because whatever he’s saying it’s having a massive negative effect on the players.
Sorry don't get your commentcongratulations on your 35th post.
Could it be fitness - or lack of it? We always seem knackered after about 70 minsI can’t remember a season where we’ve played such Jekyll and Hyde performances between one half and the other. What’s going on?
A lot of us thought we were over training and it was leading to injuries the last time he was here. Who knows?Could it be fitness - or lack of it? We always seem knackered after about 70 mins
Without any intention to sledge anyone ..or Critch, my simple thoughts are.I can’t remember a season where we’ve played such Jekyll and Hyde performances between one half and the other. What’s going on?
oh i get it know but don't understand the issue? and would you know it this will be my 38th postcongratulations on your 37th post.
Echo all aboveThe answer is - He doesn't know what he's doing, that second half was dog doo .... Easily? don't think the second half was anything like easy, they had several decent chances, a better team would probably have taken..If he threw on better players and they got injured despite say winning 4-0 he would have got pelters. We won 2-0 easily in the end, Job done.
20’s, out of interest mate, what are your views on the game? If you’ve posted elsewhere I apologisecongratulations on your 37th post.
of course give the opposition some credit but our tactics and negative substitutions contributed to them getting on top in that second half and making the game much harder than it needed to be. Unless of course you think our substitutions weren't negative ones. How about giving some credit to the opposition…oh by the way we won but of Course that isn’t good enough for some of you ,some of whom I would expect to know better.
First half we were totally dominant playing some great attacking football and could have been even more in front. Second half was everything we expect from a Critchley team that is solely out to protect a lead.20’s, out of interest mate, what are your views on the game? If you’ve posted elsewhere I apologise
BTW, I thought Marvin had a brilliant game and does seem to be getting back to his best although I still get a bit nervy about his short passing game
I can see him starting next weerk
That’s why I mentioned him!First half we were totally dominant playing some great attacking football and could have been even more in front. Second half was everything we expect from a Critchley team that is solely out to protect a lead.
Marv was magnificent but then I've always thought he was.
My 40th post - Your correct Marv was magnificent that's the most sensible thing you have saidFirst half we were totally dominant playing some great attacking football and could have been even more in front. Second half was everything we expect from a Critchley team that is solely out to protect a lead.
Marv was magnificent but then I've always thought he was.
The snake needs to stay out of the dressing room at half time plain and simple because whatever he’s saying it’s having a massive negative effect on the player
second half was simply unacceptable but he doesn't realise it was down to him. This mentality thing is down to him not the
Apart from when we play better in the 2nd half. That must be a different snake in the dressing room having a massive positive effect? The snake needs to stay out of the dressing room at half time plain and simple because whatever he’s saying it’s having a massive negative effect on the players.
I was going to post something very similar. Its the first time I can recall Critchley actually stating what his message was to the players at half time. He never mentioned about being defensive or shutting up shop for the second half but to keep going and to play like we did in the first half. Now I am by no means Critchleys love child and like many I have been bewildered by his formations, player selection and decision making. I just found this post match interview different in so much as he was stating that the players didn't follow his instructions. The question should then have been asked " Why didn't they do what you asked them to ?" He seemed as frustrated as we fans watching the second half.In the interests of balance, Critchley in his post match interview was very damning of the second half performance. He said the message at half time was to keep going, win challenges, win second balls and when we got possession keep it. He said we did none of that and we have a lot of work to do. If we play like we did first half we will win games, if we play like we did second half we won't. Plenty to work on He said and clearly wasn't happy.
Of course a better team may have taken those chances, but I don’t remember O’Donnell making any tough stops, and most of their decent chances went out for throws. We did more than enough to win the game without needing to bring on Rhodes or CJ. Managed the game more then well enough IMO.Easily? don't think the second half was anything like easy, they had several decent chances, a better team would probably have taken..
He’s always ushering them forward… I think there’s a mentality that developed last year, which needs to be eradicated.I didn't have my Critchleycam switched on today but did anyone notice if he was ushering his players forward in the second half? They certainly needed it, we must have backed off at least ten yards for the second 45, the midfield was all at sea and our forward movement was non existent.
