so you know for certain Madine won't be fit?I can only think of Jerry, CJ and Theo. Perhaps he’ll take one out and re-enforce the midfield.
I've been saying that all season, if we play Madine, 442 is the way to go. Yates is so much more effective when he can get closer to Madine and be more central. The issue then moves to the midfield, which 2 make the best pairing, Bridcutt and Patino would be my choice. We just do not have the right players to go 433. Madine and Jerry do not play well if on their own up front in the middle. The wide men do not generally chase back to help defend and we get overrun in midfield with a 433. Let's go back to what has been successful 442 with Jerry and Madine playing off each other.
Appleton, please note: 4 goals from Jerry in 3 games isn't good enoughAnd despite his recent goals........Jerry is marginalised out wide. He is not a winger. Please will our Manager take note.
Agree, he was almost anonymous last night, he can’t be isolated on the wing, he should be much closer to MadineAnd despite his recent goals........Jerry is marginalised out wide. He is not a winger. Please will our Manager take note.
I felt a big part of last night was that MA knew Garbs was not fit enough yet to be in the team and Hubby less so. Jerry has no choice other than to play very deep as their winger was destroying Garbs.Agree, he was almost anonymous last night, he can’t be isolated on the wing, he should be much closer to Madine
Thank god you aren’t the gaffer, then.Assuming Madine isnt fit, Jerry with Wright and Carey.
Dougs, Bridcutt and Patino behind.
Connolly Marv Juds (if fit) and Id leave Garbutt in the left back spot. Hubby on the bench to cover Juds and Garbutt,
He wasn't isolated on the wing he was too busy helping out GarbuttAgree, he was almost anonymous last night, he can’t be isolated on the wing, he should be much closer to Madine
