Will he play 3 up front on Saturday ?

Assuming Madine isnt fit, Jerry with Wright and Carey.
Dougs, Bridcutt and Patino behind.

Connolly Marv Juds (if fit) and Id leave Garbutt in the left back spot. Hubby on the bench to cover Juds and Garbutt,
 
We just do not have the right players to go 433. Madine and Jerry do not play well if on their own up front in the middle. The wide men do not generally chase back to help defend and we get overrun in midfield with a 433. Let's go back to what has been successful 442 with Jerry and Madine playing off each other.

I've been saying that all season, if we play Madine, 442 is the way to go. Yates is so much more effective when he can get closer to Madine and be more central. The issue then moves to the midfield, which 2 make the best pairing, Bridcutt and Patino would be my choice.
 
I don’t think Madine will play Saturday last three games he’s been subbed with his groin injury. Hope he does and we go 4-4-2

Probably only 4 or 5 of our starting line up for last PNE match will play.
Does not answer the question but interesting how quickly things change.
 
The Nobbers will try to score 1 & rely on their defence, which is tighter than a camels bum hole in a sand storm, to keep us out.
MA is going to have to be a master tactician with this game - we need to press & move the ball quickly.
If Gaz isn't fit, Jerry to CF alongside Theo (please pass to Jerry) & Ian Poveda (please pass to Jerry).
Big Marv needs to do a proper job on the viking Riis.
Keep your discipline boys & let the nobbers be the only team with a sending off

I felt a big part of last night was that MA knew Garbs was not fit enough yet to be in the team and Hubby less so. Jerry has no choice other than to play very deep as their winger was destroying Garbs.

At least when he has Lavery on the other flank, there’s 2 live wires prepared to track back and then break quickly. It’s not in Theo’s make up and Jerry was to a degree sacrificed as he’s one of the few who just seem able to run and run and run
 
We don't need Madine walking around holding his groin as an excuse for not putting a shift in. Although he does so little running when "fit" that we might a well just get a cardboard cutout of him and place it in the centre circle . I don't know who Appleton will play or what system, but it's his dilemma and responsibility to put out a competitive and combative team that we can all be proud of when the game is over tomorrow. NOT the feeling I had after the Hull City capitulation
