Where’s your bus pass Dave!I may not buy an ST,
This has nothing to do with relegation or who will be manager.
It simply comes down to age. (mine of course, not the new manager )
Dark evening driving to and from game is not on. MrsDP doesn't like me driving when it's dark.
I more or less agree with her. (Didn't go last night).
Obviously I will go to all the matches played in daylight.
Bus from Poulton to BR?Where’s your bus pass Dave!
Have had some good use out of mine.
Senior railcard too.
If a bit of lip service helps the fans get on board then fine but he won’t mean any of it.I'll buy an ST, but Critchley would need an almighty explanation for his lack of communication on leaving, and then I suspect the fans won't give him/the board much more than a handful of games to prove it was the right decision to bring him back.
What would it take for you to buy one?I won't be buying one whoever the manager is and I don't need a ** excuse either
Pretty much what I put on a previous thread. Bring him back as Head Coach with Dobbie as his assistant with a view to Critchley moving upstairs as Director of Football to oversee the entire coaching structure of the club. It's the same long term vision as when Critchley joined first time round. Thommo as Head of Recruitment/Assistant Head Coach. There is little or no loyalty in football, Managers/Coaches/Players come and go but I think that kind of arrangement would benefit the club. For me, Critchley is a good coach, especially with regard to improving young players. However, as has been discussed many times before, as a team manager he only seemed to excel while having a seasoned assistant alongside him. Director of football may be a better prospect for him. Oversee the entire coaching side of the club while being practically involved in what he’s good at. The type of manager we need next season is someone young…and dynamic. Dobbie fits the bill. But if he was chosen, he too would need a Thompson, Calderwood, or McCall, etc., as No. 2.
Fans who buy season tickets whoeverFor me, will be the ultimate slap in the face to fans. The man who left us in the shit with little or no regard to the club and where we were at, would be invited back with open arms. Like inviting an arsonist back to rebuild the house he's just torched. Not for me I'm afraid - of course I'll carry on going and probably will cost me more in the long run without a ST but I will send a letter to Sadler explaining why he has lost 2 ST holders if he brings him back.
I would probably have to get divorced and move back to BlackpoolWhat would it take for you to buy one?
I was never critchleys biggest fan, clearly at the time in the minority, but 80 points and promotion in his first season, followed by a 60 points mid table finish tells you all you need to knoweven under NC it was boring shite football.
You know Brett can’t give you a call and twist your arm this time ? I’m not sure Simon has your number does he ?I won't be buying one whoever the manager is and I don't need a ** excuse either
Good post, Beachcomber. I'm not one to pour cold water on what Critchley achieved during his time at BFC (it would seem almost churlish to do so after the key part he had to play during what was such a momentous period in the club's recent history) but I can't help but feel there has been a slight rewriting of history whenever his tenure here is being discussed. I'm glad you raise the question of the significant part played by certain back-up personnel during his brief tenure in the managerial hot-seat, as I don't feel this element has ever received the recognition it deserved. And I'm paying particular attention here to the pivotal role Colin Calderwood had to play. He speaketh some senseFans who buy season tickets whoever
coaches the squad gift failure to the board.
A boycott threat over Appleton may have brought another option who kept Pool up.
Yep, we don't want an over achiever anywhere near the role.Critchley should NOT be re appointed imo
Season tickets x4 depends on manager recruitment, player recruitment and of course the price
Everyone will be doing cartwheels in your stand on hearing this newsI won't be buying one whoever the manager is and I don't need a ** excuse either
You forgot the pies! What a depressing thread so called fans are putting more restrictions on buying a Season Ticket than a Prison.
Manager, price, board, players, owner ** Tea lady what happened to thick and thin lets be honest some weren't getting one for third division football and just using excuses.
Now edited.You forgot the pies!
But as others have mentioned, without a good no 2 he seemed to struggle. And the constant tinkering drove me crazy, as well as not seemingly getting the best from some of the players.
