Woke mob - Preston Grashoppers rugby club cancel Farage - Now at AFC Fylde

The pathetic woke mob also shut down Oswald Mosley at events in the 30s, cancel culture has a long history. Those lefty do gooders have a lot to answer for.
It was club members at grasshoppers who got the event cancelled, fair play the bloke is contemptible. If my golf club had a night with Farage planned I'd tell them to shove my membership where the sun doesn't shine.

If some club I was a member of hosted an event with someone like corbyn or Blair or whoever why should anyone care?

If there's interest from people let them go, the money is for a good cause.

There was clearly a lot of interest from people to attend.

But the no doubt fake outrage from some and the threat of not going back forced them to change course on an idea they clearly agreed with beforehand.

Poor form, why be so bitter over someone?

The thing about private clubs is that if the majority of the members don't want someone in, then that's fair enough. It would seem that's the case here. Slightly different to a social media platform, and Trump was kicked off for repeatedly breaking the terms and conditions. Shouldn't everyone abide by those?

Because he's a lying fraud? Members of a club are entitled to say someone isn't welcome and I respect anyone who calls Farage out, he has caused so much harm to this nation, purely for self promotion and wealth. As for your example of Blair and Corbyn that's up to members of individual clubs to object, I certainly wouldn't be on here making as issue of it.

So if you actually watch the video, Preston Grasshoppers weren't the promoters of the event at all. Someone else booked the venue for a private meeting and then advertised it as a meeting with Nigel Farage. The members objected and the booking was withdrawn.

Fuss over nothing.

Nigel Farage is obviously a very unpopular person with yourself and millions of others but using Abu Hamza as a example is a bit daft.

That may be true, however some people would of wanted to go and a very good charity would of benefitted in the process. So wokery & cancel culture now costing charity. Nice.

Just found it interesting that an event for charity that was meant to be about his life which he's survived some mad things, why shut that event down because of bitterness.

How sad must people be that when an event is booked to raise money for charity that they let their political bias shut the event down.

Id call anyone on the right a bunch of pricks for doing the same to a left win guy or remainer or whoever.

The real loser is the hospice, if people want to listen to Farage and make for charity why stop them?

As a retired politician, maybe he claims expenses, maybe he doesn't, maybe they're reasonable, maybe they're not, but the fact of the matter is, St Catherines were due to make significant much needed money out of this non political venture and that has now been denied them. Very sad.
 
Why's this a big deal? wobbly necked insignificant 'politician' gets dropped from a charity gig at a small rugby club. It's hardly world shaking but seems to have got several posters quite frothy. It's not like there are other speakers or celebrities that Grasshoppers can book is there.

So by your measure any politician is a lying fraud, remainers said there would be world war 3, instant recession, jobs lost etc. It didn't happen. The lying frauds, should never be able to host an event for charity?

The club gave in to, as usual, moaning and cancelling people opposing it and the usual social media mob.

A few people on social media and club members in rugger tops cancelling their membership if he was there is hardly a mob. So an event for the hospice is what then?

It only brings trouble because of the attacks of the left wing mob who abuse the club for associating with in their view the wrong type of guy.

Gammon? Never knew what that was about but searched it and seems may even be of a racial natured insult.

Can only imagine if someone perceived as on the right made an insult even slightly related to colour.
