Your first Gig......

501 WOW you just brought back a lovely memory for me of going to the theatre at the end of South Pier to see Freddie and the Dreamers with my mum in the 60s so technically that must of been my first gig.

My Mum took me to see Freddie and The Dreamers at The South Pier in the early 70s. We sat on the front row and I remember Freddie sitting on my Mums knee during one of his songs….made her day

I went to that gig also saw AC/DC there about 1974 I think.

Buzzcocks was before the Joy Division gig. It was also my 1st gig, Subway Sect support band.

Yes I remember Subway Sect as the support band. I remember buying the single Ambition after seeing them.

It was either the Stranglers at Lancaster or A Certain Ratio some where in Blackpool or maybe the JD gig at The Imperial. All a distant memory !
