European Super League Announcement

Can't the Premier League say to the ignominious and greedy 6, 'Sign for that and you're out of the Prem'?
That would make them sit up and re-think the issue.

Since the infamous 12 have all resigned from the European Clubs Association and renounced UEFA’s authority, does this not make them immediately ineligible for the Champions League and Europa Cup?

UEFA could make an example by expelling Real Madrid, Man City and Chelsea from the CL semis and Man United and Arsenal from the Europa Cup. Simply announce PSG as the European Cup Winners and hold a final between Roma and Villarreal for the Europa League.
 
The way I see it, you've an organisation such as UEFA who have chased money for years now, along with dubious money in Saudi etc, who have now been out-greeded by a conglomerate of Billionaires who can see they can milk the casual football fan around the globe for even more money.
Uefa have no right to call it greed and grotesque, they have helped pave the way for this. Not to mention the money corruption in UEFA and FIFA.
Football will eat itself, will real supporters of local clubs turning to smaller clubs to enjoy why they followed football in the first place.
 
And guess what has happened today to Man Utd share price up 10%
They are hoping for a financial killing not to recover from heavy debts.

I tend to agree with you. However, two wrongs do not make a right.
 
What about FIFA and UEFA refusing to register players who join the traitor clubs. The pool of talent available to those clubs would be very small. The fees that could be charged for selling these players would diminish very quickly if they could only be sold to a pool of eleven teams.

Honestly, they could fuck off for a couple of years if we got that out of it.

It won't work because they can't sacrifice their domestic competition and club history. Liverpool without their titles and European history are just... Tranmere in red.
 
Simple solution, schedule regular league and cup games for whenever they're due to play in the breakaway league.

Real Madrid coming to Old Trafford Wednesday October 20th? I'm afraid City are due to visit on the same day, and indeed any day on which you want to stage a game.

I've just been listening to Times Radio and John Pienaar discussing this subject on his show. Pienaar was quoting a Danish FA chap who sits on the UEFA committee who said they have a meeting tomorrow and he will be putting it to a vote to eject any of the 'dirty dozen' clubs from the current cup tournaments.

Quite how it would work wasn't said but if big TV insist on games for their schedule then just go back through the eliminated teams and reinstate whoever one of the 'dirty dozen' knocked out, to get a semi final line up.

There are no fans to get screwed over as no-one can go to the games, and any sponsor with a brain will want to distance themselves from this right now so they are unlikely kick up a fuss.

So I can easily see UEFA doing something akin to what you suggest, AK. I'd do it if I had the power.
 
Klopp now the 3/1 favourite with the bookies to be the next Premier League manager to leave...... now that would be a statement.

Mentioned it above - sounds like some senior Danish FA bod on the UEFA council is proposing a vote to kick them out at a meeting tomorrow. Could very well be done by Friday.
 
So if this Super League doesn’t go ahead, l wonder how many owners of the Dirty Dozen spit their dummies and pull their financial support leaving their clubs in a serious mess?

If it turned out that Sadler was really a Rotter and did something that got BFC thrown out of the League then would you think it right that other fans said you deserved it because you supported Blackpool??

The ONLY People who want this are the Owners of the clubs..no one else, no Utd, City, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea fans who are just the same as the fans of any other club

Kick the six teams out of English football at the end of this season, and readjust the four divisions and National League into five equal leagues.
Eventually, the European League will fold, and the teams will want to return to Englands football pyramid.
When that happens, they will have to apply to and play in the leagues similar to what Bury were banished to.
They do not deserve any future favours.

Are the TV generation going to be that interested when it's Tottenham in 15th v AC Milan in 12th as you approach the dead end of the supergreedleague season.
For that matter even 5th v 6th matters little when there is nothing to aim for.
Kick the team's out, ban every player, manager, owner and league official for a minimum of ten years that takes part in this travesty.

Agree should not be a hatefest against supporters of the errant 6.
Maybe Liverpool and ManU fans should have a joint demonstration both wearing team colours to show how wrong this is.
I wonder what FC of Manchester fans are thinking.

FC of Manc saw this coming when the Glaziers took over hence the reason why this team was formed, but they will be thinking 'told you so'.

Can’t agree more Blood but as l posted earlier if this doesn’t go ahead one or two owners might bin their toys and leave an almighty financial problem for their clubs.
 
I think we have to look a bit more into the players aspect of all this. English, Spanish and Italian players playing at these clubs have potentially more to lose by signing up for this and i don't mean financially.Let's face it, the players of other nationalities playing at these clubs are for the want of a better expression just mercenaries and a lot of them will I think still want to play for a club where the big bucks are.

I don't think they would dare Blood. The owners are in enough hot water with the fans as it is. Wouldn't surprise me though if Klopp walked. Hope he does as that would be a real statement.

A cynic might say it could be a win,win for him to walk away after the poor attempt at retaining the Premier title, plus a return to Germany to manage.

to be fair, that accusation has been thrown about for years. Let's face it, most of the teams in the Champions League aren't champions of their own country are they?
