Another Season Ticket update

For the 100 or so that didn't renew there were an additional 4,000 new ST holders so we're well up. There could be any number of reasons why a very small minority didn't renew from last season from financial issues to health issues.

Wasn't there 50ish that demanded their money back even though season ticket Ts & Cs had a no refund policy? I guess some of these make up the 100, in addition to those with other personal/health reasons.

Thanks, TT.

Double last season's ST total, which is damn good when we've barely been in the ground for 16 months.
And it shows the club got the pricing pretty much right.

Add in corporate and that'll be pushing 9k.

Hospitality balcony holds around 700, and the hotel about 140

Of course "Sold" isn't really sold, it's "not available to purchase". Some may be kept aside for players, officials, sponsors etc. And not sure if the capacity figures include the disabled seating at the front of the stands.

It would be interesting to see the percentage of 'walk-on' attendees during a season when we have sold a similar amount of ST's as this season. Just so we could work out an estimated average attendance for the season.

For example if 20% buy on the day then we would be looking at 9,600 home fans (10.5k including hospitality). Then on average an away following of 1,500 and you would be looking at an average home attendance of 12,000.

Confirmation (which is apparently on its way) of full capacities allowed from August coupled with a few more signings and we could be looking at 9.5-10k ST holders which would be phenomenal and a good deal more than those down the M55

If we averaged 14k in the grim times just before the boycott, surely we can do that again? With a much more positive set up, money going in rather than out, and Jerry up front?! Or does the fanbase need rebuilding again after the boycott years?

I definitely think there’s a truth in there. I know quite a few lads that just don’t seem to want to go back. Damaged goods. Thanks Oyston you **.

To an extent I think we do, it's about getting people back into the routine and showing people how things have improved. Not everyone follows AVFTT or social media, we all have a part to play not only in creating a brilliant atmosphere but also spreading the word. Football is a drug, get a few good wins and the buzz will be back. 13K average would be very good in my opinion.

Presume that's not minusing off the 2 front rows of the north for eg?

Which would then put it under 8k and would explain why no announcement from the club after hitting the 8k milestone yet.....
All we can do is count the available seats and deduct that from the officially published capacities.

It's also a broken habit. I quite enjoyed watching every game on my big telly in comfort last season. It will be interesting to see what options are made available this season., especially for away games - and of course if you can access an away game, the home side's fans can access it too.
People over the boycott found other things to do, and haven't really had the chance to return properly. So we may see a few just seeing how we get on this season before committing.

They had virtually a full season to be able to return in 19/20. We need to stop excusing the can’t be arsed brigade. Proper fans are itching to get back.

Does that include the 200 from the north that need taking away
Isn't he just taking that from on here, the numbers used in that chart above include the north seats that are covered so they need taking off.

I think the club have been very good at putting out good news so I can only imagine they are waiting for us to hit that 8k and it'll be announced....

Must be very close...

I find this waiting for payday thing that people have mentioned daft, if you have to splash out in one go then you’ll be a bit skint until the next payday, surely a bit could have been put aside from previous paydays, this in depth financial advice I’m giving is free of charge, but if you want further financial advice pm me and I’ll be happy to help for a nominal fee, if you are a bit skint though you can hold off paying until...er payday

This doesn’t include the 200 or so from the north does it so we must be very close to 8k
It's listed capacity minus available seats, so the sold figure is really sold plus reserved plus unusable. The SE holds 600+ and is not included, the east is 4,400. The balconies are just short of 850. The capacities are what is listed in the safety certificate, not what are available to purchase.

Wow ... 8230 at a time when we’re still not sure how this disease will pan out is amazing. Must say I bought two to purely say thanks to Simon but don’t intend to go much ..

Did a count earlier and this only counts seats sold, so not including the north netted off seats.

7816.

I also didn't include the south very front row that shows on planner so if they have sold there's a few more there but they have never been available not even 1 showing blue ever.

So the above figure makes more sense if we think of lack of 8k announcement, as even if we have 100 corporate season tickets we won't yet have breached the 8k.

Hence no announcement yet.

We have sold well over 400 corporate season tickets!
Then I'm not sure why they wouldn't announce passing the milestone as it is spreading good news.

Unless its in some way related to covid and waiting to be sure before announcing that we can attend?

Strange.

That wouldn't be the case, if they switched seats their original seat would have changed to blue at the time they switched. It does appear around 100 of the 4K have not renewed by the cut off point.
That would mean 97.5% of the 4k have renewed which is excellent. You will always get an small number each season who will not renew - death, health issues, economic or family circumstances change. So nothing really significant to see here

It’s always got to be about how do you encourage the IPhone generation to switch off FIFA football on their X box, leave their bedrooms, and enjoy everything a live match brings?

Forget win, lose or draw. Forget Premier league or signing Mbappe - just have a laugh, sing and chant, rant at players and jump around with mates and new mates down at the footy. Experience that every 2 weeks - it’s totally different to anything else you are doing at school, college or work.

It’s not the same as a house party, watching a film or going to the gym. Going to the footy is unique, and every 2 weeks you can go to a live match and feel everything from anger to boredom to elation and with little control of when that’s going to occur. Have a bit of that in your lives. You cannot get that at home watching it on the TV, it’s just not the same at all….

Sell that sizzling sausage to the teens and you aren’t worrying about if we can fill the ground.

I have attached a link to average attendances for the Championship 2019/20 and we should be just under halfway down the table, which I think is fantastic. It's all about the atmosphere and if we can be looking at 14000+ then Bloomfield Road is going to be rocking.

I think achieving 14000+ is a big ask. First target for me would be to beat the Nobbers. On the pitch and inthe stands. Or after having another look, even t'rovers.
