Yeah they are white washing his head tomorrow and starting againAny news.
“The Armfield mob”The Armfield mob will say it looks the dogs doodahs but the fact is it looks appalling and is not what we were told it would be. It will be embarrassing to present that to Sir Jimmy’s family as it looks nothing like him!
Eyes need some work, he looks like i look in the morning after 12 pints on a Friday night. Open them up a bit. Other than that its great.
“The Armfield mob”
Weird shout.
See the rangers fan pissing on it!!
He must have had a massive c### or a high pressure bladder!See the rangers fan pissing on it!!
I would say it’s not going to be “fixed”. The bloke who did it posted last weekend saying it was finished and he was so proud of it, so it sounds to me as if he doesn’t think it needs “Fixing” I have been patiently waiting for it to be made right but have now given up hope. I was a contributor to the appeal and am quite willing to contribute to another appeal to cover the cost of whitewashing over the whole insulting thing.Anyone know if it’s started to be fixed this week?
He may, if there are people around who haven’t seen what he did for Jimmy.I think that’s a bit extreme tbh. Give it a bit of time as the guy may have other work on. And unless the cherry picker was already booked for this week, which I doubt, then that will take a little time to sort.
I have just made a couple of enquiries and could have a cherry picker for 10am tomorrow. He may, if there are people around who haven’t seen what he did for Jimmy.
The Armfield twitter said he'd be back and he will I'm sure.I would say it’s not going to be “fixed”. Saw what looked like the cherry picker used parked down stannes Road the day of the rangers game.I have just made a couple of enquiries and could have a cherry picker for 10am tomorrow.
I wait with baited breath. I appreciate that art to one person is rubbish to another and it wouldn’t do for us all to like the same thing but, we were not td we would be getting an artist’s interpretation of the great man. Not a photograph either, just a mural that people could recognise and would be appreciated by all and not just people of an artistic bent. The Armfield twitter said he'd be back and he will I'm sure.
They'll get him to sort it of that is have no doubt.I wait with baited breath. Its probably got more to do with the weather atm I would think. The cherry picker will be a day hire so they'll want to guarantee a full day of decent conditions for it. Would have been good to have it rectified by the Reading gameI thought the guy would be straight back up to fix some issues, all gone quiet?
Would have been better to do it right in the first place, then it wouldn’t need rectifying. Its probably got more to do with the weather atm I would think. That's the one thing that I can't grasp in all this.... I mean I'm no artist, but common sense would suggest that you'd firstly draw the image in small scale and perfect it, t before you then transfer it onto the wall by scaling it up... It feels that in this case he's just tipped up and started producing the image on the wall and see how it goes.... That's got to make it a whole lot harder.Would have been better to do it right in the first place, then it wouldn’t need rectifying.
I am also no artist, in fact all I could draw was my wage. I just know what I like and I don't like it as it is, after looking at the photo I am sure any artist worth the name could see it wasn't right. That's the one thing that I can't grasp in all this.... It’s still embarrassing to us and disrespectful to Jimmy. Was embarrassing when I last saw it. Jimmy looks overweight with hot dogs for eyes.
Perhaps they are hoping it will just be accepted, like a bunion. After a while you get used to the pain and learn to live with it.Apparently it wasn't finished according to Armfield twitter and he would be back, this was a few weeks ago now.
We weren’t told it was going to be a caricature style, we were led to believe it would be a likeness, not a photographic copy, just a likeness. Instead we got the ‘artists’ version. Whatever happened to the old adage, he who pays the piper calls the tune.Have a look at @MurWalls on Twitter.
He's really good.
It may have been better raising more money and going for the best than a caricature style?
They should hang their heads in shame if they think that's an acceptable representation of Sir Jim.Apparently it wasn't finished according to Armfield twitter and he would be back, this was a few weeks ago now.
He was just looking lol.Lol is the guy in the blue shiirt on the right having a piss up the mural? Obviously he doesn't think much of it.
