    Meanwhile, over at Scunthorpe

Looks like it's a bun fight between Swann and Hilton over the stadium contract. A pair of odious chancers who couldn't give a flying eff about the fans it appears. Perhaps the wilko situation has hit Swann"s portfolio hard too?

    Abingdon Street Market

Cash costs a lot more to handle than card does now. Its been a long time since the reverse was true. That's unless you're not putting it through the books and avoiding tax or laundering it for criminals.

Bottom of the National League bit of a shock

Swann married into the Wilkinsons family and made a mint selling off the Blackpool site to the Council I understand. Last I saw his company still had a substantial portfolio of current and former Wilkinson properties that was being used in part to underwrite Scunny's losses. Clearly doesnt want...

Ticket for Morrisey on Wednesday now reduced to £40 ( was £88)

Mozzer was on top form tonight. He was almost in a good mood. Good setlist with lots of favourites and his voice held out well. The get up on stage and hug Mozzer thing isn't really understood by venues and I thought security a bit heavy handed but you can understand them not wanting to take...

    Blackpools a shit hole

They were costing too much to maintain and heat. The Council turned off the heaters one winter to see what would happen and everything in there died so they flattened them.

    O/T The Hundred

The ticket money is negligible compared with the salaries and solidarity payments which are funded out of TV money and ECB reserves. They only need fans in the stadiums for the atmosphere so that the TV product is better.

Hurty words officially a hate crime

Not sure why rent boys is deemed homophobic. They could just as easily be straight lads selling themselves to fund their other lifestyle choices. Its not a nice thing to be chanting at someone but it seems unless they can pin it to a protected characteristic they can't do anything about it.

    Udders sold out...or is it

I think the suggestion is that they don't even have tickets to sell, its a scam to get personal information and I doubt that this is the only game that is being targeted.

    Corbyn suspended

This is all very reminiscent of the 1980's with the expulsions and factions. Kinnock deserves a lot of credit for tackling the hard left head on but never got elected as it just served to highlight the divisions. It took nearly another decade before Labour became a force again. Wonder if Starmer...

    1953

I've nothing against women commentators per se. However I think broadcasters do themselves and women in media in general a disservice by shoe horning them in when they aren't good at their job. The cricket commentator Ebony is good, but struggling to think of any good ones in football but it's...

    England v Wales

Wiz. A big part of Raheem's game is drawing fouls. I'd argue it's more important internationally than domestically as international refs let less go than British refs and cagey defending makes it harder to score from open play. Its one of the main reasons we got to the semi's in the last world...

BBC News: Average 13 covid deaths per day, in the last 7 days.

Isn't the ONS figure where Covid is "mentioned" on the death certificate. i.e. it may or may not be the primary cause.

    local government shake up

Long overdue. Anyone who knows anything about Local Government knows that Blackpool is far too small to be a Unitary. No wealthy areas and virtually no green space or room for development within the boundary. You could argue that the whole Fylde is too small to be Unitary but given the big...

    Councillor Blackburn

The general consensus is that he's a fairly smart bloke for a local Councillor in a small authority. Definitely a very confident fellow. Which can be a both a strength and a weakness. I hear he didn't plan to be in post as long as this, which makes you wonder whether he hasn't had the better...
