    Stoke game next week

So glad your dad can get to the match. Every day should be treated as a bonus. I went through treatment recently & thought I was getting better, bought season tickets & was looking forward to a great season. Unfortunately my treatment failed, the club were amazing & empathetic about refunds...

    Lakes experts

I'd certainly look at booking, I only drove through there the other day & it was heaving. Only a few pubs doing walk-ins.

Great day was marred by the booing of our players taking the knee

For once, I think someone with a high profile has got this spot on. Really good quotes from Southgate.

    Dominic Cummings

Cummings did actually say that he was fearful about going against all the conflicting advise, because it would all be on him. Quite a burden to shoulder. I looks like he waited until some other people realised, then helped make the decision collectively. You can look at this 2 ways. 1: It was a...

    Air Crash Investigation

I watch a few in the week leading up to travel. The wife doesn't appreciate it though, she hates flying ;)

    Who has had Covid?

I got it right in the middle of chemo treatment, just before Christmas. Must have picked it up from the hospital at treatment time, hadn't been anywhere else or seen anyone for months. Was hospitalised for 24hrs, but luckily escaped and managed to shake it off in a month or so.

So whats everyone been binge watching during lockdown

Discovered 'UNCLE' & it's brilliant. Dark, funny & poignant. Looks like it was hidden away on the digital only BBC 3 but available on Netflix. So good, we had to slow down & savour it. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2546866/

    The Covid passport

A couple of problems with a Vaccine passport is that lots of people can't have it for medical reasons, what do we do with them. Anyone under 16 can't have it, do they get left at home ? I think generally its a good idea in the short term, but it's how it's going to be implemented, that's the issue.

    Meanwhile in Sweden

Whether Sweden got it wrong or not can be debated forever. I'm just glad that one country did something so different than the rest, at least we can all learn from it. There will be good decisions & bad decisions from every country, it will only be in a few years time that we can collate the...

Once Upon A Time In Iraq

It's probably one of the finest pieces of film making I've ever seen. Utterly heartbreaking, harrowing & breathtaking. It should be compulsory viewing. It shows exactly why the world is in such a mess on the back of these 'wars' The documentary maker also made 'Exodus: Our Journey' about the...
