Best Christmas Movie

It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street, already mentioned.

The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Through gritted teeth I have to admit I watched Last Christmas with Emilia Clarke the other night and thought it was surprisingly good.

Non-Christmasy but always takes me back to being a kid - Jason and the Argonauts.

The missus put Last Christmas on last week. I'd seen the trailers and adverts and really wasn't expecting much. Incredibly, it was worse than I was expecting.

Deck the Halls if only for his 15 years of christmas trees setting on fire.

Elf if only for the dwarf beating him up.

It's a wonderful life.

Well, if we're talking good films that just happen to be shown at Christmas; liberty hall! I'm with you re. Jason and his Argos.

Watched The Holiday tonight and enjoyed it but in real life no way that tub of lard would pull Kate Winslet.

I like the movie, particularly for the lovely Cameron Diaz.

Just watched Home Alone, always our movie to begin the Christmas holiday.

I have to watch the original A Christmas Carol alone, my wife and son are not fans.

A good old Ghost story ..Whistle and I'll Come to You
Any of the BBC ghost stories are worth watching. But for films, it has to be A Christmas Carol (1951) and Scrooge (Albert Finney). Sir Seymour Hicks played the role of Scrooge well in 1935, shame the film wasn't up to the same class as the Alastair Sim adaption. There are many films though that I think are worth watching over Christmas. Home Alone, A Miracle on 34th St., A Hobo For Christmas, A wonderful Life, Silent Night, The Nativity Story, Nativity, Beyond Tomorrow, and not forgetting A Muppet Christmas Carol, the list goes on...................................what makes you think I love Christmas films

My Missus just watched “The holiday” for the umpteenth time!
Love actually is next on her annual list. What happened to that cute kid!
Not so cute anymore if you have watched Queens Gambit.

In no particular order.

Muppets Christmas Carol
Scrooge, Alistair Simm
Scrooged, Bill Murray
Miracle on 34th street, Richard Attenborough
Nightmare before Christmas.

Don’t know about the best but we were struggling for something to watch last night so put The Holidate on Netflix.

Please don’t make this same mistake....
