There is no point in stopping the count now Wiz. Biden takes 270 college votes if they stop now.

It is quite amusing that he wanted to stop counting 24 hours ago (when he thought he was winning), and now he wants to count again in Wisconsin (where he hasn't). 😀

I can't believe how difficult some people find it to understand that if one side mainly votes by one method and the other side by another, that inevitably leads to fluctuations.

It would be ironic if it did. There are two major reasons why we are seeing a lot of this sort of thing. One is COVID, which persuaded a lot of Democrats to opt for what they saw as the safer, healthier voting option. And the second is that in some states, the rules on when counting can start are quite restrictive. They include the Republican-run state of Pennsylvania.

Don't forget GOP voter suppression where for example they provide minimal voting stations in predominately black areas meaning long journeys and in line to vote in person.
 
Michigan confirmed, so it all comes down to Nevada, which Biden currently holds a lead in, and you'd expect the votes still to count will be in his favour.
 
Trump won’t give up easily that’s for sure, the Presidency gives him too much protection against many allegations against him, which will disappear with the status. The taxman for a start!
 
Georgia is 97% complete. Trump has a 54,000 lead with 149,000 votes still to be counted. These are in heavily Biden-leaning counties around Atlanta.
 
Just seen that Trump.....who earlier today demanded that everyone stops counting ballots.....Now wants the ballots in Wisconsin.....re-counted..🤔
Trump supporters have also stormed the Detroit convention centre to stop the counting.

I pray to God that Donald doesn't have a hissy fit and asks his supporters to 'pop outside' and try and persuade Biden supporters to re-vote..🔫

Who is this candidate Jo Jorgensen, standing for the Libertarian party? In quite a few states, e.g. Georgia, her small vote is more than the difference between Trump and Biden. Presumably leftist, so without her standing those votes would have been expected to go to Biden? Sounds like a real small time drama queen.
 
Archibald. Bloke I work with supports the Libertarians. Bit of a mixed bag. They support lowering taxes and reducing the importance of the welfare state, but are pro-abortion and legalisation of currently illegal drugs.
Moot point, really, whether they'd divert more votes from the Republicans or Democrats, though my colleague is backing Trump, which might be a vague indicator.

If anyone was in any doubt about what a ‘piece of work’ Donald Trump is then now is the time to face up to it.
Time for the saner Republicans to step up and let him know that his time as President may be up, and to let all the counts come to their rightful conclusion one way or another.

If he cared about the future of his country, especially in respect to civil unrest, he should be publicly asking his supporters to calm down a bit.

Only if the vote is within a really small margin... Even his fellow Republicans are saying 20,000 is too high to turn round... recounts change votes by 100-200 perhaps at those kind of numbers.

Being such a fan of Law and Order I expect Trump will be along shortly telling them to obey Law Enforcement Officers and go home.
 
Just hope that PA and Georgia get called for Biden as well as AZ and NV, meaning that any one or two states that could be overturned is irrelevent to the overall result.
I think that is the best hope that we have of avoiding some very ugly scenes and possible mass public disorder.
I really hope that adequate security is in place at the counting centres and that the votes are kept in very safe places - if some votes were for instance destroyed in a fire - then there would be absaloute chaos. A scenario like this would certainly suit Trump and the thing is I wouldn't be too surprised if something like that is exactly what happens.
You have to wonder where the rest of the Republican party is hiding. I suppose while the election has not been called they are quiet but as soon as it is called for Biden they need to get out in the media and support the democratic will of the people, and say that Trump's time as POTUS is over. Their party has become a personality cult, it's about time the decent republicans took back control.

Are they aware that stopping the count now would deliver Arizona, Nevada and the Presidency to Biden?
 
The counts in Nevada and Arizona are worryingly close.
Arizona doesn't look like it is going to be the resounding victory that was being forecast yesterday
