Moore showing off some tricks, nice.
Ok read my mindSurely must be time for Jerry???
What, with his “ wand” of a left foot.Hopefully Garbutt will get a free kick on target some time soon.
In a game like this with no pressure against a decent Premier RB I’d like to see how Bowler does down the left wing on his natural footWe are very weak down our left side
Jerry and even Lavery always press, you need to force errors, surely they know this.Well 2 things to get sorted out:
A RB and a LB.
High press. Critch had a well drilled high pressing system, despite the infamous defensive aproach of a 4-4-2. Those 3 upfront need to provoke errors more often.
Appy said something on the line of "we're working on attacking and having possesion but Leeds, rangers, and Everton Will not let us have it" but You need to be able to win the ball back pretty often if You want to play attacking possesion football.
On the razz with Simmswhere's Ekpiteta?
From the startGreat footwork by Jerry
Needs to be on before 75 minutes though
Bowler and Moore look as though they're enjoying a developing partnership on the right.
Garbutt scored one nice strike against Sunderland on Lge 1 and that's all I can recall. Why Bowler or Connolly didn't take that free kick near to the end I don't know. What, with his “ wand” of a left foot.
It's a gentlemans agreement .... don't Play him Frank and get him injured, coz he'll be coming back to the seaside next weekPretty poor from Lampard to not even put Simms on for a couple minutes at the end so that he could get his round of applause. Obviously not wanted over there.
Not the way I see it - looks decent to me and will improve with match fitness.Fiorini must be the tea boy at city nowhere near as good as what we already have
Watching a different game from meFiorini must be the tea boy at city nowhere near as good as what we already have
Virtue had another decent game. Carey struggled but got into it in the final half-hour.Not seen thd game. But we need a stronger defence out asap. Gabriel and Husband fit, and Marv back to partner Williams. Those two will need games together to familiarise too. Selecting Virtue ahead of Dougall is a bit worrying, and i reckon we will likely shift to two holding players at some point in the first ten games. I dont know what to do about the forward line. Need at least one new face I think?

I thought Fiorini looked good. He's comfortable playing box to box, creative, and defends well. A bit raw, but Prem sides punish you more for that than do Championship sides. Who else do we have who plays like him? Carey is great but much more of a forward player. Dougall much more of a defensive player. Anderson loves going wide and doesn't do much defending. Kev is the only other one I can think of who works the entire center of the pitch with skill at both ends.Fiorini must be the tea boy at city nowhere near as good as what we already have
