I think he’s right to drop bowler he’s been awful he let akpro run into the box Saturday too for one of their goals good to see Kenny back in over patino

Why start with all of your best players on the bench ..if get beat Mc Carthy will be slaughtered..and time for him to go and bring some one in who knows what they are doing..

All our flair players are on the bench. Presumably the plan is to bring them on to win the game in the second half after we have contained Huddersfield in the first hour.
But it won't work if we are two or even one down by then.
I am not optimistic.
If we don't win tonight or Saturday we are on the slippery slope to League One

This feels like a league 1 selection, seems to distrust flair players. He said we need to impose our game on them but what is there here to frighten them ?
 
Looks like he's gone for solid experience over flair to me, Lyons is young and new to this league, Patino has needed a rest. Not too surprised he's gone with Madine and CJ was the pick of a bad bunch on Saturday, so I can see the thinking behind the selections, plenty of options off the bench.
 
Looks like a 4 3 3 to me unless he is playing Carey wide in midfield which would be an odd thing to do as we haven't seen him play there before.
But looks like McCarthy is prepared to do odd things because he has picked a 4 3 3 devoid of flair or creativity.
Hope it works.
 
He is known for his dull, dour, defensive football, what were we going to expect. I hope he proves me wrong but it is going to be down to CJ, Carey to feed Yates and Madine. Their chance to shine Come on you Tangerine wizards!!

nt understand it, why would he want to contain a team who are more than likely coming to do the same thing

Sonny as number 10 , other 2 to protect back 2
but the bench is unbelievable strong

So if the BBC is right he is playing 5 3 2 with one wing back that can't defend and the other that can't attack!!
I hope this works better than it sounds in theory!
 
Thorniley not even on the bench. Lose this tonight and he's going to get booed off the pitch, how to deflate the crowd in one easy lesson.

We have to win, but can anyone see it? If we lose the tide will turn against manager, owner and CEO. We just have to make this work and hope MM knows what he is doing.
