Blackpool v Plymouth Argyle Official Matchday Thread 27.03.21

I really don't understand this conceding of a last-minute goal. Why are we struggling to kill off games at home? 8 points dropped in total last month or so.

Frustrating to throw another lead away, but a point isn't the worst result.

Still in 6th, still plenty of games to go - need to stop having an AWFUL first half.

I hope we aren't looking back at the end of the season at these last minute goals. Our inability to kill off teams at home could prove very costly.

On a positive. The 2nd half was much better and we would have taken a draw at half time. Just feels like a defeat after that late blow.

Definitely feels like 2 points dropped, but we've stayed in the top 6, which is realistically what we need to aim for.

A late kick in the teeth, but not the end of the world; with Marv and Ballard to come back, the first half being a wake up call, and a few days now to catch a breather, we shouldn't be too down heartened.

On to Friday.

So frustrating. Some real sloppy sloppy play to hand them the ball leading to the equalizer. They'd offered nothing at all second half too.

Never mind. On to Friday

We do tend to switch off at key times.... we need consistency if we’re going for a playoff push.
No denying we are playing much, much better. At least we haven’t had a dicking like Accrington 😐 UTP

Bugger! Woeful first half but much better second.
I’d have taken a draw at half time though.
Still plenty of players to come back - the future’s bright👍
Up the Pool.

Better second half , unfortunate to concede late on, (Michael Jackson is a ** ) but we will carry on with our two points per game average and ultimately win promotion.

always frustrating to let in a late goal but i would have taken a draw at half time we need some of our injured players back its starting to take its toll.

A draw was a fair result but when you grind out a a lead you need everyone to dig in. Why Kaikai was left on the pitch is beyond me, at that stage we needed fresh minds and legs.

Lucky first half, failure to finish the job second.

Can't complain.
Yep. Sums it up well. Lucky to be only 1 behind at half-time. Came back really well, but then lacked quality to turn 2-1 into 3-1 when they were giving it away for fun. And then we switched off when we should have been absolutely all over the basics of defending.
Can’t deny Plymouth deserved a point.

One thing I’d say though is that injuries are playing a major role now. We’re beyond being down to the bare bones when you look at the inexperience on the bench. That’s always going to make it hard.

Thankful not to lose that after the early goal. A win would have been a bit lucky I think.

Michael Jackson was full of praise for us prior to the game on Radio Blackburn. Said the performance in the week against Peterborough was as good as anything he’d seen in League 1 this season. I thought his comments during the game were fair enough as well..

Not at the races today a draw was a fair result. Will be interested to see Scratters marks as I don't think anyone stood out today.

Unbeaten run keeps going, we’ve lots of injuries, we’re 6th.

Would have laughed if you said that a few weeks ago with players we have out.

Thomiley got exposed today and didn’t like the Robson change, stops us attacking.

Onto Swindon, give it the Scunthorpe Good Friday feeling.
