i think there was a balance today that we havent seen for a while (repeating myself from half time) CJ and Dale both quite advanced and because of that the midfield had options either way . . . . . and . . . . . we were consistently getting five or six players into the box which we havent done since the derby game.

And Kouassi was winning every header and finding a Pool player. Dale was so much better than Connolly and that really showed when Connolly came on for him.

I called this prior to kick off as an attacking line up and it didn’t disappoint. Hopefully people will finally get off CJ’s back. His value is not obvious and at least two goals were only scored because of him. As for Rhodes he is the poacher we never had last season.

Great performance and win, delighted to see Dale and Kylian do well and even more delighted that the 3-5-2 worked, I’ve said in the past that its not inherently boring, just depends on the way it’s played. And the way it was played today was perfect.

However, it’s important not to get too ahead of ourselves, it’s only one victory, doesn’t mean we’ve solved all our problems.

The squad has a TON of options all over the pitch, we really do have great depth everywhere.

Kylian, Rhodes, Lavery, and Joseph are fantastic 4 options at this level, any money we were preparing for a striker in January should be sent to Carlisle for Moxon…
