He was born in Watford...Si, anyway since Brexit they'll all just foreign.
If he doesn't score a hatrick in his first game this site will go into meltdown. May be a good idea for some on here to get a paper bag to breath in to when they start to hyperventilate.
U should get a partial refund.. less letters.. even more if they use the scrabble formulaAm on way to club shop to see if they can change Branigan to Patino on back of shirt.
You could ask them to put ? and cover all angles.Am on way to club shop to see if they can change Branigan to Patino on back of shirt.
Thanks for that Magic, we are definitely not lump it forward, we’re a passing team playing 4-3-3, I’m sure he’ll fit in well, but as you say, it’s a tough league and he’ll probably need some protection.Gooner in peace here.
I must admit this is a bit surprising and very interesting. It's the right decision to let Patino out on loan. He is too good for the U23s, and his options will be limited in the first team. That being said, I would have thought that he would have been loaned out to the French or the Dutch league, perhaps even the Belgian.
The Championship is a tough old league, and he will need to learn to swim fast. Technically he is very good, he is tenacious, has an excellent eye for a pass and can be very exciting to watch. However, he is still growing and is rather slight of stature.
I'll readily admit to not having seen you much in recent years, not really since the Ian Holloway years. What sort of team are you? He'd probably do best in a team that either can dominate possession and dictate the play, or a team that relies on incisive counterattacks where you accurately play the ball forward. If you mainly rely on lumping it forward to two big lads, I think he might not do so well for you.
I like that he has readily accepted the challenge. If he does well for you, I think that bodes well for his future, but this is a massive step up for him. I hope you'll keep this thread alive over the course of the season, and keep us abreast on how he is doing.
Surprised a few of us with his age and being linked with the championship already. Looks like a 4-1-2-3 under Michael Appleton. That's how he set up at Lincoln and what he looks to be trying to repeat here so far. Not sure if it'll be a high pressing game yet because everyone looked knackered by halftime last weekend.Gooner in peace here.

It's not really that tough a league at all, most teams like to play football and half the league have been in the PL in recent times, it's not like 1970s fourth division.Gooner in peace here.

No, I maybe made it sound like that. Still, it will be a big step for him. If he gets to play his game, I think he'll do very well. It's not really that tough a league at all, most teams like to play football and half the league have been in the PL in recent times, it's not like 1970s fourth division.
Evans will be serving his next suspension by then.Super ched will give him a lovely welcome in October
Looks a tidy player
That is very encouraging. I guess Arteta and Mertesacker would have done their homework on which club to send him to. I still remember us sending Gnabry to Pulis, and Pulis not playing him. Thanks for that Magic, we are definitely not lump it forward, we’re a passing team playing 4-3-3, I’m sure he’ll fit in well, but as you say, it’s a tough league and he’ll probably need some protection.
Yeah on his highlights he's taking the piss at times playing his way out of trouble in dangerous areas. I'm sure he realises that won't be an option in the Champo.Ive never heard of him before so I checked out his highlights. He looks so smooth in possession.Like when somebody says good players always look like they have time on the ball even in tight spaces he demonstrates that from what I can see. He looks like he doesnt have the quickest feet in the world but is confident enough in his possession to do things at his own pace.More elegant than all action.Passing looks good, likes a ball over the top.Yates,CJ and Lavery will like making runs for that.Happy to go backwards and go past players just hope thats not borderline running himself into trouble at times.I think he will draw a lot of fouls as he isnt the quickest to get the ball and give it,he wants to turn beat a few men then give it.
Daniel Ballard did alright for you, didn't he?Hopefully if he does sign he will display more talent than John Jules did.
Made of sterner stuff Dan Ballard but that was in league one.Daniel Ballard did alright for you, didn't he?
Is there much talk about this On the Gooners site ? Reason being were easily led when it comes to possible transfers, loans or otherwise.Gooner in peace here.

Can't rely on Stewart anymoreSounds a done deal but again, until on the official site it doesn't matter.
It sounds to me like Apples wants a flexible 3 in the middle and where we struggled last year was getting out passed in a rigid 4-4-2. Dominating the midfield seems to be the start and if you have technically brilliant players you've got a chance.
Where we struggled last Saturday was fatigue and experience. I personally think Dougall or Stewart + 2 of Fiorini, Virtue, Carey and Patino could be the way forward but wouldn't be shocked to see Virtue head out on loan.
Said at the top of the thread we had this with Dan Ballard. Arsenal youth websites put that out first. Took a while to go through after but it happened.Weird how it’s always other clubs leaking first these days. Well, not so much weird as unfamiliar. Feel for the club trying to do business properly.
Just looked again and now no sign of the article that went out at 8.39 this morning.Only see loan mentioned.
Why would Scraffton write that?I saw that too - wishful thinking.
Dan Ballard was excellent for us, we were gutted when he went to Millwall.Daniel Ballard did alright for you, didn't he?
We will soon put a stop to thatFrank Stapleton says he's the best youth player Arsenal have ever had.
Played for all England youth levels he qualifies for.
Promising.
There's the odd exception Lytham, eg the nobbers and their dirty, hatchet man Evans . Any attempt at bullying from him and we've plenty of players who'll sort him outIt's not really that tough a league at all, most teams like to play football and half the league have been in the PL in recent times, it's not like 1970s fourth division.
Click baiting? Why would Scraffton write that?
Rule number one of loan signings should be discussed again. Do not fall in love with loan players. Watching DB celebrating a late Millwall winner was a dagger to the heart.Dan Ballard was excellent for us, we were gutted when he went to Millwall.
John-Jules got hooked after we conceded when he didn’t close someone down near the opposition corner flag. I think that was the last we saw of him.
Hoping this lad joins because he looks like a real talent.
Maybe they're just waiting for some kind of solid foundation? A good base to work from before building anything.190 posts and still nothing concrete

TJJ only lasted as far as Nottingham Forest away. It seems to be like the bermuda triangle for Arsenal players that place.
Indeed he did. Best ever Arsenal player we signed was Alan Skirton in the days of black and white tv.Daniel Ballard did alright for you, didn't he?
Callum Connolly's physicality must've passed you by.Plenty, maybe just Gary Madine?
In the past we had Gary Briggs and Gary Brabin.
Seems like there's something about these Gary's.
Briggsy was the real-deal enforcer for us and was straight into any opposition player who tried it on with any of our young playmakers.
He'd kick 'em in the head, in the bollocks and sometimes up the arse n all ...
